Hello,

I've installed OS X Lion 10.7.4 by this guide. Everthing is fine, but I can't get working sound and network. Bellow are my specs, I gues that is not a big deal. I have also ATi 4850, I've heard about some issues with this card in Hackitosh, but some peoples get fully working this card.

My specs:

MSi P67A-C45 motherboard, Core i5 2500k, ATi 4850, 4GB RAM

Soundcard is integrated Realtek ALC892 and Network card is integrated Realtek 8111E

Hi,

For the LAN drivers, just simply run the installer. For the graphics kexts, copy the ATI4800Controller.kext and ATIRadeonX2000.kext to the desktop from /System/Library/Extensions. Right click it and select show package contents. Open up Contents, then open up Info.plist. Insert your device ID under IOPCIMatch. Do this for both kexts. Use this: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=63 for finding device and vendor IDs. This is essentially the same as the guide by artur-pt: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=736 After you insert the device IDs, drag the kexts onto Kext Utility (download here: http://cvad-mac.narod2.ru/Kext_Utility/). Then just wait and restart. Type GraphicsEnabler=Yes at the boot screen, and you should have full graphics acceleration.

I have alc892 and works fine without voodoo, better sound using modified appleHDA. I also have HDEF edits in my DSDT to make it work without enabler kext. Trying to upload the zipped kext but haven't been able to upload the past couple days :(

"How to install ktext? It belongs to hackintosh folder or on my usb?"

use Kext Wizard, not sure what you mean by the second part of your question, maybe you need to do more reading on some of the basics?

Thanks, I've tried your method but when I restart system, monitor gives me an ressolution error (You are using unsuported ressolution). I've tried set 1680x1050x32 by command, but it doesn't work. Why?

Update

Pretty strange thing. Ive tried to connect by remote desktop and it works! Resolution is set to 1680x1050x32 just i like wanted and its detcted my card and monitor (Samusng 223BW) corectly. But why that monitor gives me an error? Ive tried set to lower resolution but nothing hapens.

remote desktop or any vnc connection will work because it doesn't rely on the video card, so could have no video and just a black screen but still screen share (which can come in very handy at times). What is the Device ID for your card?

Could you also put all your relevant hardware info in your signature for future reference?

. Ive tried Arturs tutorial with chameleon wizard, but hackintosh wont boot since that. I gues that is problem with extra folder. I havent it on hackintosh disk, but only on usb and i have something like apple.plist not chameleon (i cant remember exact name).

If you have apple.boot.plist inside you /Extra folder, you need to update to a newer version of Chameleon. The apple.boot.plist should only exist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and don't touch that one. Chameleon used too also use a configuration file with the same name as the apple one, but this was changed quite some time ago and Chameleon now uses org.chameleon.Boot.plist instead and this is what should be in /Extra folder. You probably don't have an /Extra folder on your installation hard drive because you have to install Chameleon again onto your internal drive. So first you install it to the usb when making the intaler, along with fakesmc and maybe a few others depending on your hardware config, then once installer is done, you must also install Chameleon and fakesmc along with maybe a few others depending on hardware all over again onto your HD to make it bootable just like you had to do to make usb bootable.

hello

for the ati, using a legacy.kext, don't need to edit the kext, every update

sorry is in portuguese (google translator)

good hack

Don't copy it from your USB as you already said the one on your usb has outdated com.apple.boot.plist, which will not work with any version of Chameleon released within the last 2 years. Just run this Enoch-rev.2003.pkg.zip and when you get to the screen in the installer just after the license agreement where it asks to choose what drive to install onto, click the "customize" button at the bottom left and in the customize secton, leave everything default but add a theme or something and it will make an Extra folder for sure, with proper org.chameleon.boot.plist, then be sure to pick the correct drive for it to install too
