RobertX
...well, got it running...only added my id to amdaccelerator and booted with no for graphicsenabler(with yes system loads, but to a black screen) only using hdmi at the moment as my apple display(21 inch CRT) is dying on me...soo...it loads the default framebuffer(ATY,RadeonFramebuffer) and everything works(screen effects, chess, resolution change, openglextensions viewer, opencl_oceanwave) however dvd player still crashes. All in all, not a bad start... ...still runs abit hot though...65-67 degrees celsius as i'm writing this(around 75 degrees celsius playing an old game (TombRaider Anniversary) but it is the fanless variety...and my Lenovo ThinkCentre has limited fan capacity... RobertX
i can manually load the other framebuffers using aticonfig flag... graphicsenabler=yes...but when using the hdmi to tv, i boot up to a black screen...with no flags at all (no graphicsenabler yes or no) i can boot with the hdmi to tv fully functioning except the dvd player crash...but with the default framebuffer(ATY,RadeonFramebuffer) loaded Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279540-visiontek-radeon-hd5450-2gb-silent-dvi-ihdmivga-0x68e11002/#findComment-1847948 Share on other sites

tdtran1025
You should add your card ID in AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext under AMDCedarGraphicsAccelerator section because it is of class Evergreen. Add ID again to ATI5000Controller.kext. Then in Chameleon (best to use Chameleon wizard), use any of the evergreen personality, such as "lotus", "fanwort", "musk grass", you will have full acceleration. I know this is kind of confusing because 5450 is not part of the"monkey" family but the "evergreen". It took me a while and only at 10.8.1 released version to be able to this. ALso within Chameleon boot screen, choose a resolution that is native to card's VESA to boot; otherwise you will get a black screen (1280x800 is safest).
