Okay so I had a Lion & Windows 8 dualboot running. The windows 8 was just tragically awful so I formatted that partition and installed ubuntu over the top. Now, I can boot into ubuntu just fine, it loads up the grub loader and it shows my lion partition on it. However, when I click the lion option my computer just reboots and I can't get back into lion. What have I done and how can I fix it? :/ There's lots of important things on that partition..

Also, when I try and mount the lion partition in ubuntu it says:

Error mounting: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,

missing codepage or helper program, or other error

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try

dmesg | tail or so

How do I fix that?

Thanks, Chris

grub never boot Lion, you need to install grub inside linux partition, and after reboot you see Chameleon,no grub loader

Enjoy

Tripple boot-Lion-Win7-Backtrack5 is on my ThinkpadT61S

First off reinstall ubuntu, when you see this:

Set the bootloader to install to the same partition as ubuntu.

Now get a cd / usb stick with chameleon on it (e.g. an iatkos install cd would do). Use this to boot into your os x partition. From there reinstall chameleon and your should be back up and running.

Only thing you'll have to do it shorten the boot time on the linux bootloader to 0 (purely cosmetic)
