Mieze
I tried to write a guide to my Asus Z97I-PLUS setup, which is very new at the moment so I thought they might appreciate the findings of an early adopter. So… really just trying to share information and help people out? (I didn’t get the little bit of help I asked for early on there, and figured it all out through very extensive searching, so literally all I’m trying to do is contribute) Looks like he has already stolen parts of your work: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/134002-quick-fix-onboard-audio-9-series-motherboards.html Mieze

Derek12
Some time ago I wrote here in this thread that I needed Tonymac to build a successful Hackintosh because the tutorials here didn't work for me. For the first time I didn't needed any Tonymac tool (I've finally learnt the hard way) so screw them and my banned account lol
shokka9
Wow; I stumbled across this, mainly due to the 10.10 DP installation guides and feedback. I never knew about any of this, and I have been using his site for a while. I think I may take my build (Haximus Pro) down. I've been thinking about making the move to Clover (or another alternative bootloader) for sometime now, this thread has helped sway my decision. In addition there are many benefits of using other bootloaders too. I have also noticed this behaviour there, and never knew where it stemmed from, and I am also shocked at how much income he generates for essentially doing something that Apple would be massively against. It's kind of ironic that they don't like the other methods of installing osX, when there are all doing the same thing. Thanks guys. It was an interesting read!! :-)
Gigabard
i don't remember ever even registering with them and just took a look to see what that site was about and it says i am permanently banned. WTF? I NEVER EVEN REGISTERED THERE, as far as i remember anyway, might have drunk, who knows. (Update) i did register there. i asked for guidance on amdfx and stuttering on 10.9.3. they perm ban me for that. oh well, its for the best, apparently.

iWin32
You can talk with tony here old thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209983-pc-efi-v-106/ Look at this post of his on that very thread!! LOL!! I agree that everyone's forks of the Chameleon project should at some point be combined into 1. Here's a link to an unofficial installer I just put together. Just click and install- great for non-Terminal folks. PC-EFI 10.6 Released: P55 Supported By Default Thanks again for the great bootloader netkas! And why do you want that, Tony? Would you be okay if someone else did that? No, of course not, because then your plan for profit would be ruined! Besides, I'm certain that you can get more accomplished with a bunch of people working together on the same version of the same product than a bunch of people each working on separate versions of the same product!! In Tony's eyes: Profit > Innovation
SRSR333
So, tmx86 has released a Clover bootloader theme. Who wants to bet Clover itself will be included in the next version of #####, and rebranded, perhaps Horseshoe? Or something else 'lucky'?Note: link not posted. Google it yourself or check out their FB page.
styrian
Hello! Perhaps TM get banned by himself forever for supporting a tool, that allows to install OSX on devices with not by OSX supported CPU´s like Atom or AMD and Nvidia chipset. :hysterical: Have fun. jamiethemorris
No offense to whatever person created the theme, but that is hideous... You know what I don't understand? What is with Tony's cutesy little creatures with the googley eyes? When I think of the term "Hackintosh" or "OSX86," childish little creatures aren't exactly the first thing that comes to mind.... And what does a tomato have to do with anything anyway?

Mieze
From my point of view it is perfectly clear why tonymacx86 uses childish logos because he seems to think of the forum members as little children, at least he treats them in that way. I suppose they add googly eyes and cute creatures to make their site less intimidating for noobs, to create this mentality of 'yay, here's a site that seems noob friendly, finally I can know how to get a cheap Mac!' theconnactic
I want to know which kind of apples look like that one. Perhaps a transgenic variety, sold only in his realm? Hmmmm... Seriously, it looks like a tomato. Or perhaps a persimmon, who knows? I always though it was a joke: "Macintoshes from Apple work, hackintoshes from tomato fields". I used to give him credit for this. Who knows?
Mieze
Anyway, it looks like a rotten tomato.
jamiethemorris
Unusually red apples like that are a rarity in the wild, but it appears they do exist. Perhaps it is also intended to be some sort of metaphor for "the perfect Apple" - building your own Mac just the way you like it. It's also possible that it could be a toffee apple apparently. However, it still looks a lot more like a tomato. BTW has anyone else noticed that all the creatures have their eyes rolling into the back of their head? I think this is what the yosemite creature might look like.
styrian
Hello! All creatures seem to look at bit perplexed. Is that because of using the platform branded tools, which don´t work in many cases oob or even not could be made working for many devices? Have fun.
