Daven1985
Evening, I built the below hackintosh. The removed the graphic's card to get the Lion to install, then after the install I inserted the GT210 so that it would boot up (weird I know but it worked). Then while using it I could go through the normal setup options like name and so on. And it works, full resolution and network. However I get random Kernel Panics. Sometimes in the first few minutes sometimes after twenty minutes. I can even just let it seat there with no one doing anything and it will crash. Thoughts? rlf
Thoughts: RAM or Processor - make sure they are seated properly. The RAM is easy to check. The processor you would have to disassemble to get to it. Understandable if you don't want to do that. Either one (RAM or processor) could be defective. What do the kernel panics say? Maybe post a picture of one after it has sat there doing nothing for a while.
Daven1985
CPU is fine. Was only installed today. Will try RAM in another slot and see how it goes.
Daven1985
Changed RAM slot. Booting up fine and all good 90% of the time. It gets a Kernel Panic if I try to put it to sleep or let the timer put it to sleep. I haven't gone any kext stuff or ######. What should I do to get things like the sleeper working and so on. Gringo Vermelho
Open console.app, check kernel.log and system.log for messages around the time of past crashes/freezes. Post them here.
Daven1985
Open console.app, check kernel.log and system.log for messages around the time of past crashes/freezes. Post them here. Sorry for the delay guys. I only got some time to seat down and do some work today due to the birth of my first born son. So a fairly good reason to not play around with Hackintosh for a week or so. Here is my log of what happened when I turned it on today.
