Hello everyone.

I've installed iAtkos L2 and everything works fine beside sleep/shutdown, sometimes USB works sometimes not and sometimes i got kernel panic while mac os starts booting. after restart i again get the kernel panic and on the third try it boots. see the screenshot - post-980271-0-75023500-1332098525_thumb.jpg

And the main thing I am afraid of is that after installation mac os the hardware makes strange noises. I've listened many times the hardware on another OSes(windows, linux) but never heard noises like this :/

Any suggestions?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

In Lion, my GTX 460 video card makes a strange whining sound when running the OpenGL Extensions Viewer tests. The noise changes in frequency according to what's happening on the screen.

I've never heard it doing that on Windows or on 10.6 and I don't think it happens in for example the Unigine Heaven benchmark on Lion either. I'll have to turn off the sound and listen for it next time I boot into Lion.

Your laptop is probably getting a good workout due to power management not working correctly, I'm guessing you are hearing fan noise due to overheating.

Thanks for reply.

It has HDD noises i think and CPU too. not fan. :(

How can i fix the permissions? and where can i get driver for trackpad?

And do i need also to install DSDT? If yes, can someone tell me how should i do that, or just post the link of a tutorial?

Thanks.

Have similar problem running 10.7.3 where my HDD would make small bursts of clicking sounds during resource-intensive activity. This doesn't happen while running under SL, Windows or Linux. Another member informed me that this is more than likely a an Apple/Lion PM bug. I'm waiting for the next update for a hopeful fix.

kexts for lion 10.7.x here

use kext utility to install kexts and it will also fix permissions, otherwise use disk utility tool once you boot into your system.

once you boot into lion , do you have sound, video, ethernet ,keyboard and mouse working ???

please post .

I don't need to install any kexts atm. everything works. i have already all drivers installed(ps2 too) beside touchpad. Touchpad works fine but when i enter the system preferences>>trackpad it says: No Trackpand Found.

what i want is just to know how i can disable/enable my touchpad and install DSDT. thats all.

Thanks.
