Thanks again for this community!

Aftre I had a well running "MacBook" with my Dell Inspiron 9400 (E1705) for few months I finally had the money to ebay me a used MacBook Pro with all I need for my purposes. Finally a "real" Mac-User! :thumbsup_anim:

 

Nevertheless it was great to see such a community like yours and so I could get a feeling for Mac OS. I found it pretty fine and ended in having a Mac. If it weren't that good I would just be gone back to Windows on my Dell. So the decision to try with a "self-made" Mac first was a good one.

Hi my name is Black_OPS[NL] and this is my first hackingtosh that i've installed on my laptop (see sig for more info)

 

The reason why i've choosen for OSX has to do that i work on daily basis with Windows 7 and Linux operation systems.

 

The reason why i choose to use OSX has to do that two collegues of my are both working with OSX.

 

and i'm curious what i can do with OSX in my spare time and to gain some experience in other operation systems as well.

Hi all,

 

I'm Burnsie, from Australia. Got my first Mac (an LCII) in '94, had three more over the years. Spent the last ten years hating my PC.

 

Now I can afford a 17" MacBook Pro, so I got one. Glad to be back on a Mac, but it would have been nice if my old software still worked. Big learning curve ahead.

My name is George, 26 years old and from the UK. I am hoping to move away completely from Windows and onto Mac. I have the following hardware and am hoping to achieve a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 install (brave or stupid choice considering one's point of view lol)

Hello my name is Martin from sweden I'm a artist and do have a Mac pro 06 that i shall upgrade with a ssd disk and i have the money set avay for a laptop but i want awry thing compatible for my new high end notebook, laptop hackingtosh build or i buy a low grade Macbook pro i5 13.3 but am pretty shore that there is a great i7 pc laptop system that will function good with at least 10.6.7
