Hi to everybody,

I've heard very recently about installing mac OS X on a PC so it sounded pretty exciting for me so i try to get as much information as i can to see i f my computer suits to do so.

I'm Nicolas i'm from france but i actually live in Porto Alegre in Brazil. I love computers and new technologies in general even if i don't have a high skill level. I know some stuff about unix since i tried Ubuntu, i use PC's since about 14 years and i've never really used mac.

For my study i work on a laptop Asus N61JV. So with a i5 i think i got good chance to make it work.

Anyway, i read a couple of topic on this forum and i really enjoyed it even if haven't started yet an installation.

Thanx to everybody and even if i came because i need help, I hope i will be able to help someone. :)

Have a nice day

Hi Everyone,

I have just joined the site hoping to find something to help me install osx. I really want to learn to make iphone apps but there is no way I can afford to buy a mac so this is basically the only way I can proceed. I am unlikely to be able to help anyone but if I can I will do my best.

Thanks

hi. long time reader, new signup.

i've been into video game/computer emulation 'since the beginning' and ran across 'pear pc' in 2004, which was cool to look at, but unusable. after hearing about people getting mac os x running on their pc without emulation (shortly after it was announced apple would be using intel chipsets), i had to try it, and spent entire days failing at getting it to work... until yesterday. thanks to lion, myhack, and countless threads, i've managed to 'easily' and quickly install lion onto my system (windows 7 being my primary os). my mac os x is probably 90% complete, (no sound). :D

Been a PC lover since high school and figure maybe trying Mac might be interesting, here's hoping for the best! (Also feel the need to prove that Macs are not better than PCs lol )

Just joined up here after trying to give OS X a go on a spare desktop. I've occasionally lurked around here for years, back to when the forums were still under the OSx86Project name. I've been a Windows user for nearly 15 years, but I got an eMac earlier this year just to get a taste of OS X and now I want to give the x86 versions ox OS X a try.

Hello Everyone, my name is Christina and I'm in Ohio. I've been "trying" to hackintosh for 7 yrs now and haven't even succeeded with a Virtual Machine until I got my Toshiba Satellite L675D-S7049. If anyone has the same laptop as me, please pm me if you succeeded with a dual boot installation. This forum has helped me quite a bit, but still need a little bit more help :)

Hello everyone.I'm not new to the OSx86 scene, however I haven't done it since 08 when i got a Macbook white for my birthday. Now that 3 yr old MB is showing its age and I need something more... Pro... I can see that there has been ALLOT of changes since I last tried a Hackintosh, so it looks like I'll be busy reading for awhile. My goal is to make a Hackbook Pro preferably with an i series CPU unless someone can talk me into staying C2D. I know that the wifi card is a huge issue, but if it's possible, I have no problem taking my airport card out of my macbook. So yeah that's where I am. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, then feel free to PM me or whatever...

Hi guys,

I recently bought a G5 late 2003.

Now i have a Gigabyte P67X-UD3-B3

with Intel i5 2500K

Gigabyte HD5570 Video

and 4 Gigs of RAM

On a 250 GB HDD normal Sata

I had some problems installing Lion but in the end i got it working.

So for now:

Need the Videocard to use DVI or HDMI

Have to buy the IO cable

And buy a SSD drive and then i'm almost finished..

(need to do a little styling of the tower, but that's a concern for later)

Greetings.

Ictri

Hi!

My name is Declan; I have been trying to install Snow Leopard on my PC for a long time now, but with no luck. So I came here in hope of help!

From what I have seen, this looks like a very well-kept, comprehensive forum, so I should find my answer here somewhere!

Thanks!

Declan
