Hi guys, nice forum you got here. I'll be attempting to triple boot on a custom built PC that will be arriving next week. Perusing some of the forums and trying to understand the possible issues that come up is pretty daunting, my head hurts already.

Looking forward to receiving your feedback and wisdom regarding my first foray into this triple booting thing.

Cheers.

Greetings all,

I am currently employed as an adjunct faculty member at

three community colleges. I teach computer related courses in both traditional

(seated) and on-line settings.

I got my first computer in 1983; it was a Coleco Adam (3.58 MHz, 80KB RAM, loaded BASIC

from Cassette). I enjoyed a subscription to a programming magazine and started

making rudimentary games to entertain my pre-teen self. My ADAM computer became

less interesting when my friend/neighbor received his Apple II. I coveted an

Apple machine since then, but have never been able and/or willing to cough up

the cash.

I still have never owned an Apple product, but a new occupational goal is forcing me to

get closer to such. I have applied for a full-time faculty position and the

interview process demands a 30 minute presentation on the differences between

Apple OSs, Microsoft OSs and Linux-based OSs. As an educated (Master of

Science, Information Technology Management), self-trained computer user, system

designer and programmer in need of reliable employment; it is time for me to

have at least Apple software in my house. My budget still won't let me purchase

the Apple Hardware, but I have enough "PC" parts lying around that I hope I can

build a hackintosh with.

I look forward to learning and sharing. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Hi!

I started my hackintosh interest on Saturday. Since then I've managed to install 10.6.3 and then update to 10.6.8, whilst sorting out my research and problem fixes (custom dsdt, myhack boot, got 4850 working (with QI/CE too)) with scouring this site.

I could only boot 10.6.8 with the -F option otherwise I got a kernel panic, so I worked out that my bootloader needed to boot in 64-bit mode, and boom, it worked

Sleep much?

Nah.

Big thanks to the users of this forum.. and the owners ofc!!

This Mac virgin is lovin the OS :)

Hi all. Only just last week did I become interested in OS X on non Apple hardware. I got a Dell Latitude D630 from work, although I don't really have use for a laptop, so I set myself a challenge.

Am now running OS X 10.6.6 by way of iATKOS.

Big thanks to everyone on this forum.

Oh, btw, I'm new ;)

Hello gang, I'm Lorenzo from Italy.

I've been member here for two years, my first hackintosh was on an AONE 150 in 2009; I've sat on my notebook ( :thumbsup_anim: ) so the screen is gone forcing me to buy a new one... going to hackintosh again soon :thumbsup_anim:

Take care and thank you for all the hard work.
