Hello everyone. I'm John C. and I'm new to this forum and to the hobby of hackintosh construction. I'm hoping to lurk around for a bit to pick up some good tips and develop a solid build optimized for video editing and graphical work with a few games thrown in, either in OSx or Windows 7 using Boot Camp. Thanks for all your hard work and efforts- it has been very educational for me to read through other people's experiences with builds and their troubleshooting results.

Evening peoples.

Came across this place when I was looking up an error I get when trying to install OS X on my pc. I had to register to download a file (which still didn't work) so said I may as well say hello and see if I can find any more answers or ask your good selves for help. Oh the two tests are nifty as well.

Names Lee by the way. Anywho I'm gonna see if I can find a way to fix my stupid error - virtual cpu has entered a shutdown state - If I can't you will no doubt be hearing fro mme again. Laters :help:

Howdy guys,

I'm Dave... Glad to be here... Long time Mac user but never put much thought into running OSX on my Laptop. Have a Gateway P7805U FX Edition, have seen quite a few threads in the forums with what seems to be pretty good success with this model. Made a system image of Windows 7 on the laptop today, so it's time to get to work! ;)

Wish me luck!

Good morning everyone! My name is Tony, I'm from California and just picked up an A1260 2.5Ghz Macbook Pro with a dead hard drive a couple months ago (first Mac), replaced it with a 64GB SSD, upgraded to 4GB ram and ran SL on it. Unfortunately, something happened to it and now it powers on intermittently so I joined the site to see what else I could learn!

Hi I'm Joe from Scotland

I've been tinkering on and off with OSX86 for a while now. Got SnowLeopard 10.6.6 running nicely on my Dell Inspiron 6400 (single core). Thought I'd now have a bash at my desktop AMD custom build machine - wish I'd never started!

Yaaass - I passed the quizzes.

Joe
