Hi all,

I'm new to the whole OSX86 thing and started playing around with it a few days ago. I own a Sony Vaio VPC-EC3M1E laptop with an Intel i5 460M processor and an ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 graphics card.

So far, I've managed to install OSX 10.6.3 and update to 10.6.7 using nawcom's boot-CD as a dual-boot with Windows 7 on my MBR-partitioned drive. Everything is working fine, except for my sound (Realtek ALC269), ethernet (Marvell Yukon 88E8059) and graphics (1024x768 on my internal LVDS using regular boot; blank LVDS using GraphicsEnabler=yes, but native resolutions and QE/CI on both HDMI and VGA outputs).

I hope to be able to find some solutions for my non-functioning hardware on this forum. Thanks!

Hey all! I signed up today and took both tests. I'm Looking to Triple Boot OSX with Ubuntu 11.4 and Windows 7. I currently have Ubuntu and Windows dual booting and I'm looking to expand my horizons with OSX. I'm just not sure if my box has the proper specs for OSX. Great forum you got going here.

Howdy, my name is Mike, and it's a pleasure to be here. I'm fairly new to the OSX86 community and I came here to see if I could get some help/Information and do some research on getting my new PC in to a smokin Hackintosh.

I would also like to thank you all in advance for supporting this kind of community!!

Regards

Mike

Hellooooooooooooooo-

Well, I need a machine that can handle 3D modeling and rendering, and I don't have $4,000 for a Mac Pro unfortunately.

I've heard you can build comparable systems for somewhere between $850 and $1,500.

Can't wait to learn more about this!

Oh, I come from a ~20 year Mac background, before that was a compaq used for data entry, and a commodore 64 before then!

Hello all, I am new to the forum and hope to share what I have learned with anyone that would find it useful. I have successfully installed iATKOS S3 V2 10.6.3, updated to 10.6.7 and still have a working OSx86 Mac.

I am also running Windows 7 Ultimate on another HDD on same machine.

Hi All,

I'm obviously new to the forums, and am looking to do what most of us want to do, which is load OSX on my pc based laptop. i'm looking to learn and then help spread the gospel.

I'm a cartoonist and web designer, I also dabble as an electro mechanical field service engineer. I'm good at basic pc repairs, meaning any and all hardware and some crappy windows OS troubleshooting.

Ive never had a problem with my mac, so nuttin to add there.

Any help, guidance, tutorials, etc. are greatly appreciated.

cheers!

Hello!

I am a closet computer geek, and I love a challenge! OSx86 seems like a good fit.

My first computer was a Compugraphic/Xerox Zebra and took up the entire dining room. I decided to ditch the classics and go with a laptop.

I am on my first Hackintosh install. Wish me luck!

Hello,

I'm Cyril from The Netherlands.

Have a lot of experience on PC's (Hardware/OS/Apps) for a year of 20 and I'm now trying to install SL on my Win7 PC.

Already bought a SL DVD at the Mac-store and read a lot installing Mac on a PC......

How to have a working installation in some days.

Cheers!

Hi! I'm student/programmer in making. I like to make pc games and stuff. My favorite OS-s are Win7 and ArchLinux. Not much of a hardware guy, which is one of the main reasons I came here, besides I want to try writing games for mac, and also try out all this cool text editors available on mac, on windows there's only intype (i tend to ignore e text editor), and on linux only vim and scribble suite me.

Hope we'll get along well. Btw, I'm from Croatia if anyone wonders
