I am new to the forum and wanted to say hello. I am getting ready to attempt to join the osx86 community with my laptop. I have been reading up a little on the "how to's" through the web and came across this site. I am a noob when it comes to mac let alone installing it on a pc, so I am sure I will have questions (hence the warning ).

 

I have had windows as my main forever, but always wanted to try what mac has to offer. I've messed around a little with linux off and on with Ubuntu on both laptops and desktops, and Yellowdog on my ps3. So I am somewhat familiar with the terminal.

 

My plan is to get Snow Leopard 10.6.6 on my laptop.

 

I am currently following this guide since it is nearly the same pc, I think the only thing that is different is the processor. Im sure I will be back with some type of obvious question
