i need to know if i can use the osx 10.6 installation dvd of my Imac (and the correct link to the guide)

or i need to install the hazard 10.6.6 version.

I've been an admirer of Apple products off and on over the years, and it's always bugged me that Mac OS only runs on Apple products. I love this site and what it stands for. To that extent, I've installed a retail copy of Mac OS 10.6.3 (updated to 10.6.6) onto my Dell SXPS 1647 using VMware Workstation 7.1.3 and am loving the irony of the situation. I don't use it much, but the fact that I have it is enough for me.

I am already a long time member, but not active yet. I once thought I will install osx on my MSI wind, but decided it was fine with win xp as it was. Now I am going to eventually OSXinize this machine: HP Pavilion dv6-3104eg (Core i5 460, 4GB RAM, ATI 5650, Blu-Ray, 7200rpm hitachi 500GB)

hi all, i'm dassamp and that's the first time i connect on a mac devoted forum.

 

i've just installed mac, i have lots of issues and no experience about this nice OS, even if i want to understand how it works and i'm very interested in it.

 

i had some experiences with linux, and the first think i thought as i opened the terminal was that it looked similar to the "penguin". that's why it impressed me.

 

i hope i will be able to find the solutions to my problems, and when i'll get some experience, to help someone. see you soon,

Hi, I am James. I both have an Intel Mac Mini, and an Acer Aspire One. The Aspire One is currently running Mac OS X "Tiger" 10.4.6, and my Intel Mac Mini is currently running Mac OS X "Leopard" 10.5.8. I enjoy using my Mac. But I have to use my Mac OS X "Tiger" DVD to use my Hackintosh PC. Aside from that, my Hackintosh is running incredibly well.
