Hi, I've been building osx86 machines for about 3 years now. I own a Gateway 7805u and have been following this thread for about a year now:

I am just now deciding to register in order to discuss some issues I am having.

Kinda lame that I have to make 10 posts here before I can get my question answered. But oh well

Not sure how many folks actually check this thread. Anyhow:

John from the US. Recently sold my MacBook and forced onto two year old PC hardware and Windows 7 just so I can sync some podcasts in iTunes.

Fiddled with ##### + ##### last night but eventually found out that kexts do not exist for the integrated graphics on this machine. Based on how easy booting OS X on vanilla PC hardware seems to have gotten in the past two years (last time I tried was this same machine and it wasn't even close to working) I decided to see about building my own machine.

Just getting into it now and once I nail down a build I'll start searching and (hopefully it won't come to this) posting about suggested hardware.

Hi,

I've gotten a lot of help from reading these forums and look forward to posting in other forums to share my experience and hopefully help some other folks.

I've only seen 1 other person with a similar MoBo on here so far..

I'm up and running with graphics, sound, and usb patched with #####.

I am successfully running ProTools 9 (with waves 7 bundle) and Adobe Creative Suite so far.. Logic and Final Cut are next on the list.

cheers,

Matt

Hello there!

I've always been a mac users. I have over thirty vintage macs, and some newer ones. Currently I mostly use a MBP 13-inch 2.26 Core 2 Duo on 10.6.6 and a PM G5 Dual 2GHz on 10.5.8 Server

I am planning on building a hackintosh in the near future, so here I am.

cheers!

Delhazo
