Howdy All,

My name's David and I'm from near Seattle, WA, USA.

Recently put together a Hackintosh using:

-Snow Leopard 10.6.5

-Gigabyte X58A-UD5 mobo

-Intel core i7-950

-2 x PNY NVIDIA 9800 GT graphics cards

-12MB (3 x 4MB) G-Skills Ripjaws DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800)

-Cooler Master HAF X RC-942 case

-Scythe Mugen CPU cooler

-2 x 1TB WD Caviar SATA 7200rpm and a bunch of other older SATA drives ;)

-D-Link DBT-120 USB 2.0 Wireless USB Bluetooth Adapter (seamless)

-Apple Wired Keyboard and all my existing KB, Logitech MX Revolution mouse, etc.

Runs well, drives 4 monitors. I wanted (1) Windows and 4 monitors for work, (2) OSX for personal use, and (3) the hacking it all together for fun. Took quite a while and I tried several different graphics cards. Anyhow, this site and tonymacx86 were greatly helpful.

My own background includes OSX, Microsoft back to Win 3.1, unix for research, and even TI-99/4A back in the day.

Cheers,

David

Hi to all. I'm new here and this is nice place to start :( I'm Serbian, my English is not perfect. Going to MCSA course right now, interested in music production... I have a good hardware knowledge and I'm an expert in windows OSs. I would like to run Mac OSx on my PC for music production in first place, but to learn something about Mac too. This is a very nice community and would like to participate and help as much as I can.

Btw thanks for reading this. It's nice to know that someone is intrested in you. lol

See ya later, I wish you a nice day.

Hello all,

I'm an engineer up in Connecticut. I work out of Hartford and I just think Macs are neat. I will post any help I can. Hope you're all doing well and drop me a line if you ever have any questions about getting engineering-type software and such up and working.

PS: So a little about me, you won't find me using smileys too much, unless I am in fact smiling. :)

Hi, my name is Ben and I own a Mac but also own a Dell Inspiron Mini netbook which I am interested in installing Mac OS X on - I joined InsanelyMac sometime ago and because I wanted to join a Mac community forum...I just remembered about InsanelyMac and remembered I had already registered before - seems like an active community .

Hello, my name is Javier and I write for the first time. I managed to install mac osx from distribution iAtkos v2 s3, with an Asus motherboard P5KPL-AM EPU and an XFX Nvidia GT240 DDR3 512, running smoothly.

I will put the data in the Spanish forum, if I can. Thanks for this great forum

Hello Forumers.

Looking to get OSX on my new machine, I'm coming from the oh so common HP DV6 series laptop, which found its fate last month as the GPU caught fire during some Adobe Premiere editing. Done a lot of searching prior to signing up for this forum, and it seems like I am the only one with this laptop thus far. Bought it from Newegg and now that I check back, I think I am the first and only purchaser of this product. Hoping to get some help from you guys soon!
