Hi,

I don't why i am unable to get the installation done. I prepared a USB installer so that i can install Lion on my Laptop but the installation just hangs on this message:

USBNotification : The device "IOUSBHubDevice" @ 0x1d100000 has caused an overcurrent condition. The port it has been attached to has been disabled

Someone please, as to what can be done to fix this error so that the installation proceeds to the next step.

Usually this means you have a minor short in one of your ports, or in a device connected to it, or a hub with too many dongles.. I can recreate the same error with a paper clip, but I won't. Unplug every USB device you possibly can to see if it goes away. If not also check the ports and wiring-especially the front panel ones both at the port and at the motherboard pin-out. none should wiggle, have any bent contacts or smashed outer shield, large dust bunnies, sparks flying out, usb powered devices that have nothing to do with computers plugged in, etc. Chameleon flag should help with any other errors that don't say anything about current /voltage.
