Black screen with flashing _ (iATKOS L2 install)

I'm trying to install iATKOS L2, but when I boot it I get a black screen with a flashing underscore ( _ ), I'll run through what I've done.

 

1. Updated BIOS to a version that works well with Mac's

2. Edited settings in BIOS to what it shows in the iATKOS L2 installation guide

3. Downloaded iATKOS L2.dmg from KickAssTorrents

4. Converted the .dmg to .img

5. Plugged in and formatted my 8GB USB storage device

6. Started ImageWriter on Ubuntu and located the .img and then selected my USB storage device

7. Restarted PC

 

Once I restarted my PC booted the USB storage device but all I got was a black screen with a flashing underscore ( _ ), I reckon this is a problem with the way I've tried to put the iATKOS L2.dmg on my USB storage device, I've tried TransMac for Windows 7 but when I expanded the .dmg and clicked on Write to CD/DVD there was no option for my USB, I also tried adding the .dmg directly to the USB from the sidebar but it said I had to expand the .dmg first, which I said I did above, but still no luck.

 

Could someone please help me?
