nevermind1331 Posted September 10, 2006 Share Posted September 10, 2006 I had a thought. Now that the parallels beta supports acpi for Vista, there was no reason it should not boot OSx86. In fact, it does. The cd will boot and the darwin loading screen will appear. However, when you choose to boot, it will flash the grey apple and then crash. Note, you have to choose your operating system as Windows Vista for this to work I should think. Looks like we will have VMs to test sooner than later, if people smarter than me figure out the problem. When booting with -v you can see the crash comes when loading darwin. Also, I tried disabling all forms of acceleration, floppies, usb, nothing made it boot. However, I did manage to grab a sweet pic just before the crash.
