HD3000 vram by default is 512 MB. Terminal command to increase vRAM for HD3000 graphics

 

From 512MB to 1GB

 

cd /S*/L*/Ext*/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/C*/M*

 

sudo cp AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.backup

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\xC7\x45\xBC\x00\x00\x00\x20|\xc7\x45\xBC\x00\x00\x00\x40|g' AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB

sudo touch /S*/L*/Extensions

 

From 1 GB to 2 GB

 

cd /S*/L*/Ext*/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/C*/M*

sudo cp AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.backup

 

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\xC7\x45\xBC\x00\x00\x00\x40|\xc7\x45\xBC\x00\x00\x00\x80|g' AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB

sudo touch /S*/L*/Extensions

Yes, I did it with mixed results.

working: webcam, DVD, sound (VoodooHDA), card reader

not work: battery, sleep, USB3

My configuration: Dell Inspiron N5110, i5-2410M, 8GB RAM, Intel HD3000 only, 256GB SSD

El Capitan was clean installed to ssd.

 

El Capitan patch AppleHDA.kext ok, Battery, sleep ok

just sad we can't get USB3 working on El capitan with this laptop..to me it makes the laptop crippled. I hope someone can fix it because i have NO idea how..

You should use 10.10.5 instead 10.11 for usb 3.0 since the usb 3.0 host controller in Dell N5110 is not intell so it is no longer working in 10.11

Hi everyone , i flashed the latest hacked bios from Florin9doi i found it here , the BIOS flash was succesful, and i restarted my laptop, there was no logo though but i entered the BIOS and it showed Florin9doi name and Link, but the BIOS was just normal, and nothing was modified, it wasn't UEFI BIOS, what am i even doing wrong here?

did you check "PROGRAM ALL BLOCKS" in flash program?

hello, i was delete EFI volume, how i can restore it ?

If i run sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI /dev/disk0s1, it says Resource busy or delete Win volume(s1) 

 

check if ur disk number is correct or not by this command

 

diskutil list

 

and share it with us here for more help !

I think by mistake u have deleted it by installing windows on it ?!

 

reinstall your OS X again or wait for someone else have better idea for recovery it !

yes i deleting it when install windows. thinking 200mb partition is windows bootloader(i am idiot).

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Nvidia card was disabled by dsdt, as I know. So you can't see it here.

did you read first message from Mohamed Khairy? Block some Info

 

-intel wireless card won't work also nvidia & AMD GFX Cards won't work don't ask about them . 

No one can't make Nvidia Optimus working.
