Dalaranunion
I chose correctly DSDT and model number Macbook Pro 8,2 but issuse is not fixed. As far as I can see the boot issue is while trying to boot from the Flash drive. If that is correct I would suggest you to follow the tutorial directions precisely! From there on, you have to move to troubleshooting. Dalaranunion, Could you please share either your WIFI model number or link to this card in eBay? This is the Wifi card (try to make further a check for better prices). Bare in mind that it does not have Bluetooth - "Dell DW1515 ATHEROS AR5BHB92 HALF MINI PCI-E 300Mb Dual-band WIFI CARD AR9280" There are more out there with Bluetooth. But you also have to make sure that they are allowed by your Bios.
nitrous
Hi guys, thank you for the wonderful guide and the help with the thread. I have a couple of issues and I'm unsure how to fix them. I'm almost certain that I've followed every single step of the instructions. 1) I have 2 EFI directories. The first one is in the hidden EFI partition, it has (almost?) untouched files. The second one is on the OSX partition and has all the fixes. Is this intended or I've screwed up somewhere? nvram doesn't get saved on reboot. Any changes done on the Clover boot interface are lost on reboot. DSDT fixes in the Clover boot menu are 0x00000000, everything unchecked. 2) I have bought Broadcom BCM94322HM8L specifically for Hackintosh, it is HP branded. However, the system didn't recognize it and used the Atheros40 module instead. I've found out that enabling "Add DTGP", "Fix Airport" and setting "FakeID WIFI" to 0x43A014E4 in the Clover's boot menu made it work, even though as a third-party wireless card. However, as clover changes are lost on boot, I've found out that editing manually the config.plist file in the hidden EFI partition made it work permanently. 3) I've had a graphics glitch during boot just like pixicu did. I've added manually the IOGraphicsFamily patch in EFI partition's config.plist, Clover got updated to the latest version and rebooted. The graphics glitch was gone, however my Wi-Fi was also gone. The fixes are still activated, nothing is changed. I have reverted the patch but the Wi-Fi issue was still there. The system says "Wi-Fi: No hardware installed". Fn+F2 / F2 does nothing. kextstat outputs: 109 0 0xffffff7f82b21000 0x14e000 0x14e000 com.apple.driver.AirPort.Atheros40 (700.74.5) <108 46 12 7 5 4 3 1> lspci -vnn -d 14e4 outputs: 09:00.0 Network Dalaranunion
As far as I know clover works within a single hidden partition. All files should be into that one, into a set of folders, not any other partition.
dREAmCaTCHeR
This is my Hackintosh, spent the new years day installing and configuring it to work. I wasn't so keen on the clover install as it seems to work but a lot of issues with windows and many underground configuring. But I have my OSx working with windows, no audio problems or conflict between Sys's. Windows is my main OS and I have it's bootloader as default and I just switch to OSx if need be or when in windows and I restart I just select which OS to boot. I formatted by disk as GuiD partitioned (3) windows+data+Osx I installed OSx first on it's partition, then when i booted to windows installer I deleted the windows partition made by OSx and recreated it with windows installer. Why? (osx gives a 200mb reserve boot partition and windows 8 creates a 300mb+ for it's system restore options) I used easybcd to add an entry to windows boot.ini for Osx boot disk to windows boot loader restart and boot into Osx as normal I also use MacDrive in windows to access OSx disk in case anything fails or breaks when booting OSx, I can easily move or edit kexts without going to terminal prompt on usb drive. I know my method not the best but I only have machine 'my laptop' so I can't afford to not have it operating. Mods done: Edited Fakesmc to add entries for F10, F11 as my console was loading up with error messages about the system fan. Removed AppleHDA and use VoodooHDA 2.8.7 I have both internal+external microphone and hdmi audio. (providing using your system dsdt file from this topic) Deleted display overrides files and used SwitchResX for custom display profile, artifacts are not completely gone but see them on rare occasion as i'm still using Adobe AE and Final Cut Pro without issues. Mishaps: Osx Yosemite has issues with sluggish behaviors and network connectivity but I cleared my previous settings and start my machine with bootflag -f in chameleon. I'm using NullCpu Kext I can't boot without it, I'm not sure if clover users get this problem but it doesn't trouble my system performance as far as I can see. If anyone has any questions or would like detailed steps feel free to let me know.
simakwm
That's great Dreamcatcher! Mine is the one that comes with an AMD video chip. Last week I followed all steps from the first post to install Yosemite and, for my surprise, everything worked like a charm. No issues found until now. Even display brightness issues I had with Mavericks are gone. Installing Windows was a piece of cake too. To boot it, I just need to exit Clover. modchip
For all people who asked about advanced bios menus: this is the patch who make it possible: UEFIPatch.exe N5110_UEFI.rom 899407D7-99FE-43D8-9A21-79EC328CAC21 010100010101000000000000 010100010101010101010101 This is not aimed for casual users because will probably brick your notebook.
