I have a multi-boot between mac, windows and linux. The problem is that both mac and windows use different times and so every time i log into mac it messes up my windows time. Any solution?

Use this:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation]
"RealTimeIsUniversal"=dword:00000001

i know about that but i need something for mac because i have 2 versions of windows and 2x linux also :/

i tested it with microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000 and works just fine :)

about bluetooth i tested bluetooth on my devices nokia n73 :P & samsung headset two work fine :)

about intel one idont have this card to tell my expernise about it

 

about SSD according to your money get the best one

Is the Bios Mod is necessary?

Will Windows still work?

If something gets wrong, is there anyway to restore the previous BIOS?

Hey people! Go buy an ssd drive. I got the 64gb one. The speed of boot and operation has doubled. Really cool.

Mohammed, before using ur bios I had 5 hours battery life both under Mac and windows. Now I have 2hrs under windows and 3hrs under Mac. Why?

hey can this computer have 16gb of ram ? 2 x 8gb or is 8gb the max that it have

 

also anyone have a good tutorial to dual boot ubuntu with mac on one hard drive.

Hello, I would like to have your help please concerning how you did to enable Bluetooth without restarting from windows?

I have an ASUS P9X79 Deluxe http://www.asus.com/...1/P9X79_DELUXE/ and there is a built-in Atheros Bluetooth module on it. If I boot on Windows first and then restart my computer an boot on OS X, I'll have the Bluetooth working or even if I dont turn off power from my PSU, so the motherboard stays on stand-by mode and at any time I boot in OS X the Bluetooth module will work. My only problem is that if I turn whole power off meaning switching off power from PSU, when I will boot in OS X the Bluetooth module won't turn ON or some any reason OS X LION wont recognize it until I log on Windows 7 and restart to go back on OS X, then it will work.

If you could help me to sort out this problem that would be great.

I'm working on a Dell Vostro 3750, which is very similar to the N5110. I swapped the Intel WiFi with a DW 1702 Combocard. WiFi is working fine. Bluetooth does only work after a warm reboot out of Windows into OSX. The product and vendor id in the kext are correct.

 

I guess the fix for instant bluetooth on the N5110 is done via a crafty DSDT fix. Does anyone have any leads on where to look in the N5110ian DSDT? I will try to find a way to port this fix for the Vostro 3750.

don't think they notice the mod also when u run the run there is an option to backup

about bluetooth

this firmware loader is ported from lunix

 

my thoughts about it

 

this loader desgined to make bluetooth work from zero state --> the pc is off then you turn it on

if bluetooth on the loader will turn it off

 

this bug is from source code of lunix and copied to osx kext

 

so when it fixed on lunixwe may wait for fixed kext !!

dont worry about backup you can restore bios from orginal bios file when you need that

flash it !

its a pretty cheap and works great ( only down i see is osx detects it as an ethernet usb adaptor :/

Dear All.

I need help. I try to install OS X ML into my n5110.

I was create USB Boot disk and done setup to my harddisk

after that I boot it into setup disk again and put FackSMC.kext /

NullCPUPM Kext and put OSinstall into private framwork

but I cannot boot into do

Complete Mac OS X Mountain Lion setup from my harddisk.

Utility Applications

With all of these dongles, you need to run the utility at least once every time you start up OS X to establish a connection. For the time being, there is no way around this. My experience with the Realtek utility is that its best to leave the utility running for a consistent connection, while you can quit the RALINK Utility once the connection has been established.

 

RALINK

NOTE: The devices marked RALINK, along with their N/G/etc variations all use the same RALINK chipsets. ALOT of USB and PCI wireless cards use this chipset (documented here: http://ralink.rapla.net/) so, in theory all of them should work with an running hackintosh.

 

Drivers can be found here: http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3

 

It installs the RALINK application in your Applications folder. You need to launch it once to define your preferred network and get it going. You can quit it and still remain connected.

 

Cakemonster wrote a more detailed post with screenshots about the RALINK utility using the EDIMAX dongle here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1277

 

There are also a few people that I've noticed are going out of their way to find the EDIMAX, as its no longer sold on Newegg or Amazon except used and is one of the few USB dongles with a confirmed working thread. ALL OF THE DONGLES ABOVE ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING. Monoprice sells the 802.11G for $10 + $6 overnight shipping if you live on the far west coast. If the dongle is on this list:http://ralink.rapla.net/ it probably works.

on edimax's site there is a download for a driver for OS X 10.4.X.

it wont work on newer versions?

sorry, 10.6.X.

any at the wiki of the OS X project it says it is supported on OS X 10.8 :)

so it should be good..

 

anyway, i now finished making my bootable USB, but im very afraid with the Bios Mod.

what will happen if i wont install it?

Isn't the Bios Mod the newest (A10) version of Dell's official BIOS?

If so, can I flash with their tool?

And what will happen if I wont flash it?

Why only here you tell to flash it, and on any other guide no?

without the Bios Mod for now, I cannot get it to boot!

i tried:
