I just got Mountain Lion GM Installed and noticed that resolution 1280x720 is not anymore available (i need it for smooth screen recording purposes).

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Anyone got a solution?

Have to stick with Lion for now. USB3 is not working either, but that's something i can live with.

From the looks of it We need to wait a bit untill things clear out a bit and we have a good guide and working installation for Mountain Lion, as it has just been released.

I for one will keep my 10.7.3 install until Mountain Lion is actually usable for my i5.

Mohamed: The new macbooks come with nvidia chips and no optimus. Isn't it possible that ML will handle this on its own without a DSDT? I still don't use your DSDT because it causes a sleep bug on my i5.

usb3 works fine as on lion !!

the PXHCD.kext is on extensions folder !!

the problem of mountain lion that the resolution is stick and cant do detect for screens but this is nt problem to me

you can wait till one find solution for that

or apple do update after demand of apple product users !!

i think it is better for you to setup windows 7 64bit rapidly and do this bios

it will enable you to update directly from app store and no need to download manullay

just after update done you will replace applehda kext and other will be fine :)

The part that keeps me away is the bios flashing part you mention in your guide. I've already burned a bios chip before and since then I'm staying away from flashing bios :D

break your fear and do it :)

Hmm, yes, i justs googled and can see that people report PXHCD.kext working on ML.

This is really strange, because i did put it into /S/L/E and it didn't help. And earlier i googled "Mountain Lion USB 3" and first relevant entry said it does not.

Anyway, as i was saying, it's not an issue. My primary issue is HD 3000 behavior. I can live with screen artifacts, but the freezes are killing me.

I would be glad to use Snow Leopard, but it can't use more than 4Gb for 32bit applications, and i need more than 8 for parallels.

I've tried long list of solutions and none of them worked so far (trying RevoGirl Total VRAM patch for a couple of days, no freezes so far, but i can already see artifacts, so i can guess that was not solution either)

I was hoping that Mountain Lion will bring fixed HD 3000 driver, but without 1280x720 it's useless anyway.

It's a huge shame, that most popular laptop Video Card makes OSX as unstable as windows and lives me no opportunity to reccomend my friends to get themself a hackintosh.
