Sebastian Nitu
also consle log show same problem this guide is to correct connector according to you pc /computer bcc9 was having problem this freeze that occur to his pc because that the first connector is lvds (laptop screen ) and this is uncorrect to his pc so he remove this connector i use this guide to make vga work about the same freeze on laptop we dont know what to change to fix it as nearly the connector to screen on your laptop not compatible with mac driver so changing connector with aworking one fix problem I understand, unfortunately there is not way to replace the connector to warranty and doing so myself would void my warranty

amiiine
to me is normal !! try see with out dsdt the question in't normal or not but for my knowledge if the led is off is meaning that the battery charged fully or the battery isn't present and if led is ON that's meaning the battery is charging that's what i mean ! if the battery charging all the time can cause some problems and can damage its life '_'

Madamido
For me about artifacts and such, I have already tried most DSDTs here in this topic The result was never astonishing, between screen split to 4 like the guy in the previous page or to total sleep and rescuing my macintosh with rboot laptop edition So anyway I came to a result and it is that I use NO DSDT, just the smbios of 8,1 and modified AppleIntelSNBGraphics and the other 2 kexts with my i5 of 0x0116 ID Actually after this, artifacts became greatly fewer that they only appear rarely Before this solution, my screen used to always freeze when playing any video using any media player or even full screening safari or iTunes or using any office program and artifacts appeared after those freezes finished! Now this doesn't happen, without using a DSDT my screen only freezes a few times for 10 seconds and 90% of them do not result in artifacts all along the screen… Something to consider is during those freezes while not using DSDT, I could still listen to music playing or move my mouse so there is no way you can convince me this is a hardware problem and even if you succeeded in this, I wouldn't be able to convince the warranty guy I think the best thing to do is connecting my laptop with another monitor or TV via HDMI or VGA and find out who is right and who is not, but those connectors don't actually work without a DSDT and of course as it seems I don't know how to create one myself and those available only resulted in disasters So if there is a simple tutorial you know on how to create a DSDT from nothing I would be grateful and I promise I will look at as soon as I have time For knowledge, mine is the i5-2410M with atheros wifi and nvidia 525M card
radiking
ok for all of u who have freezes and artifacts here is a tip thanks to mahesh kondraju for helping me out go to tutorial based on dell optimus l702x delete all the kexts as he as suggested once you have deleted as he says go back to lion and most important thing is to download kext utility for lion not snow leopard and run it once or twice to get the result if ur dual booting its even easier to delete though windows than mac ..now every thing works i do get random freezes but its because of the software otherwise seems to run smoothly ..even though i have an i7 based laptop it used to run like 433 mhz computer now i am able to work in full speed everything works but i am unable to get sound to work i am using smbios 8.1 works good for me
