AMD guide for mac 10.6.8 final

all of us have faced the same problem of PCIE error while updating fr mac 10.6.8...i got trught tht and now my mac 10.6.8<br />which is woking on AMD Phenom x4 925 4gig ram is running flawlessly and no errors an crash...<br />will updte the steps by today or tomm...<br /><br />Thanks to Nawcom.....

 

 

For the sweet instalation you will need

Seprate HDD fr mac installation

Nawcom bootcd (better u have it writed on a CD)

Mac 10.6.3 retail version DVD (p.s. u can find it on google)

Mac 10.6.8 Combo Update (can find it on either apple website or google it)

Successfully Installed on

Amd Phenom x4 925

4gb ram

Ati Radeon HD 5770

 

First make sure to set boot priority to CD/DVD rom

Boot With Nawcom CD

Follow the guidence appear on the main screen of the nawcom boot loader

once the bootloader is booter swap the boot CD with the Mac 10.6.3 Retail DVD

make a clean insatll on a Seperate HDD of 10.6.3

make sure while installing go the the Costomized insatll option which comes before the install option

and clear the field for languages and printers kernel field and the Voodoo PS2 option as

Voodoo PS2 nolonger works and might giveyou Kernel Panic

installation will take up to 20/30min

Now you have done installing Mac 10.6.3 on ur HDD sucessfully

Now its time to update Mac from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8

WARNING

DO NOT use mac's default software updater as ur Hackintosh will Crash/give u Kernel panic or fail to boot

Use the DMG file downloaded from apple's website or u found on google (10.6.8 combo update)

mount the dmg file and u will get a pop-up folder with 10.6.8 combo update pkg file in it

just install it....installation will take up to 15/20min after its done will give u an

option th restart dont restart....PLEASE DONT RESTART

Open [url=&quot;http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/&quot;]#####[/url] and go to the Miscellaneous tab u will find USB Rollback( The update will replace your IOUSBFamily.kext)

and ur usb will work with this...update

go to the Bootloader option u will find Chimera bootloader only install tht as will work fr ati/nvdia on amd pc

LAST BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO BEFORE RESTARTING OPEN Nawcom's new 10.6.8v2

AND INSTALL THE PKG FILE WHICH WILL REPLACE THE KERNEL TO LEGACY WILL ALTER UR SLEEP MODE AND WILL NOT GIVE U

PCIE ERROR

After installing Nawcom's PKG restart and u will b able to Boot in to MAC 10.6.8

Sucsess full installation of Mac 10.6.8

No pcie error
