Foxic
Hi I've installed Lion on a Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 (rev 1.0) but I'm having a few issues getting everything working. I'm using an i5 2500 with Intel HD 2000 Graphics I've updated the bios to F6 and downloaded the F6 DSDT. Installed Chimera 1.5.4 Using ##### 4 I installed: IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector MacPro3,1 smbios.plist AppleHDA Rollback ALC8xxHDA realtek 8169 ethernet controller FakeSMC + Motherboard plugins. The system boots ok but only with -f, I cant remember off hand where it gets stuck but I believe it's something to do with the onboard Intel HD 2000 graphics. I cannot get audio to work. I believe this board used ALC889. Could anyone suggest a way to get this working? Thanks in advance.
sleepless007
I maybe can help you with the Audio problem Have you updated to 10.7.1 already? I had a similar problem yesterday, 10.7.0 -> ALC885/889a Audio working fine After update to 10.7.1 - no audio I tried about 8 hours till i came accross a solution Maybe it will also work for you. FIRST Removing ALL ALC, AppleHDA, Voodoo kexts then Patching the AppleHDA.kext and installing ALC885_889a.kext* Instructions are included in the .zip file also all files you need *tested on GA-P35-DS3 ALC885_889a_LION.zip

Maldon, was HDAEnbler for SLE or EE? I have it in SLE Now on 10.7.1 BTW

Foxic
I've tried the methods here: http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=29531 and http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=255891 I still can't get audio to work. I'm using a DSDT from tonymacx86 database (attached) for f6 BIOS. The audio codec is Realtek ALC889. Is there anything else I can try? I'm wondering whether there is something wrong in the dsdt. no worries, got it. I still had HDAEnabler in SLE and it must have been conflicting. dsdt.aml.zip
Joe_K
Hi James, I've noticed this older post about Hackintosh with Gigabyte H61M-D2P-B3 motherboard which I have too (mine holds Intel Core i5 2500K). I wondered whether you managed to get it work properly with OSX at the end? I'm completely new to Hackintosh and would love get OSX (Mavericks or Yosemite) as a second system in addition to Win7. I'll greatly appreciate any guidance or tips! Many thanks!
