Voldemort
I have a Issue with my HDMI sound through NVIDIA GT210. my audio device is: 0X10DE0BE3, so in Info.plist, I set the "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" to "0x0be310de". So, The VoodooHDA kext detects my HDMI audio with Four "Digital Out (HDMI)" in System Preferences. Now I probe to hear music choosing an HDMI port on System Prefs. Only I can get Audio on the "number 2 Digital Out (HDMI)" Now the problem is that I can Only hear 1 second of sound or music and then It get muted. What Can I do? maRRRco
Hi guys everytime I shutdown my pc, I hear a cracking short sound from the speakers of my notebook, like an outbreak. I think the system or voodoo driver doesn't cut power to speakers. The same happens in windows 8 If I don't install sound driver, so i think is a problem with voodoo kext. Is there a way to get a silent shutdown ?
Nemorosus
Hey there guys. So, I have a problem, a weird one. For example if I restart my laptop, and than boot into any other OS than OS X, [Linux Mint, Windows 8.1 tried] - I have no output from the external jack, but I do from the internal speakers. This drives me nuts. I need to shut down my laptop using the power key (otherwise it doesn't work), and turn it on again. Any suggestions?
Alexco
Hi, since I had some issues with the patched AppleHDA I switched to VoodooHDA, version 2.8.7. Everything works correctly, except for sleep. After wakeup I have sound, but the Mic does not work anymore. Using Pref Panel or VoodooHDA settings loader also does not fix this. Also the getdump CLI tools only gives me "hello world"?!?. I have a GA z97 UD7 TH with ALC1150 audio device. Any tip would be appreciated.. TheMacMini09
Hey all, I've been having problems getting VoodooHDA working. I tried first on Mavericks, but was getting "No VoodooHDA Devices Detected." I thought I had it installed correctly, but I figured I might as well upgrade and try it again on a newer system. On El Capitan, I was having the same problem, even though I was certain I had it configured properly. The two PCIIDs are 0x80860C0C and 0x80868C20 (one for ALC1150, one for HDMI; I hope to have both working). How am I supposed to be installing and configuring VoodooHDA? I'm using Clover, BTW. TheMacMini09
Be sure the devices enabled in BIOS. Install VoodooHDA into /System/Library/Extensions. It must works. Didn't work. Downloaded the latest from SourceForge (2.8.8) and installed into /S/L/E/ after modifying the Info.plist. Everything is enabled hardware-wise; it works fine in Windows/Ubuntu. I've attached the modified kext; I think I've done everything right, yet nothing seems to work. EDIT: Here is the Info.plist file. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>BuildMachineOSBuild</key> <string>11G63</string> <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key> <string>English</string> <key>CFBundleExecutable</key> <string>VoodooHDA</string> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA</string> <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key> <string>6.0</string> <key>CFBundleName</key> <string>VoodooHDA</string> <key>CFBundlePackageType</key> <string>KEXT</string> <key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key> <string>2.8.8</string> <key>CFBundleSignature</key> <string>????</string> <key>CFBundleVersion</key> <string>2.8.8</string> <key>DTCompiler</key> <string></string> <key>DTPlatformBuild</key> <string>4F1003</string> <key>DTPlatformVersion</key> <string>GM</string> <key>DTSDKBuild</key> <string>12A264</string> <key>DTSDKName</key> <string>macosx10.8</string> <key>DTXcode</key> <string>0441</string> <key>DTXcodeBuild</key> <string>4F1003</string> <key>IOKitPersonalities</key> <dict> <key>VoodooHDA</key> <dict> <key>AllowMSI</key> <true/> <key>Boost</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOMatchCategory</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOPCIClassMatch</key> <string>0x8C208086</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x8C208086</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>IOUserClientClass</key> <string>VoodooHDAUserClient</string> <key>InhibitCache</key> <true/> <key>MixerValues</key> <dict> <key>PCM</key> <integer>90</integer> <key>Rec</key> <integer>70</integer> <key>iGain</key> <integer>90</integer> <key>iMix</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> <key>NodesToPatch</key> <array/> <key>Noise</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Vectorize</key> <true/> <key>VoodooHDAEnableHalfMicVolumeFix</key> <false/> <key>VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix</key> <false/> <key>VoodooHDAEnableMuteFix</key> <false/> <key>VoodooHDAEnableVolumeChangeFix</key> <false/> <key>VoodooHDAVerboseLevel</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> </dict> <key>OSBundleLibraries</key> <dict> <key>com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily</key> <string>1.1fc9</string> <key>com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily</key> <string>2.1</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.iokit</key> <string>9.0.0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.libkern</key> <string>9.0.0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.mach</key> <string>9.0.0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.unsupported</key> <string>9.0.0</string> </dict> </dict> </plist> VoodooHDA.kext.zip

If you don't know what it is mean then keep these lines as origin from SF.NET Ah, OK. I was under the assumption that I had to edit the Info.plist to include my sound card, as per https://web.archive.org/web/20140709140620/http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355 (and the top post of this thread). If I don't make any modifications, I just get a kernel panic. What, exactly, am I supposed to do? I'm quite confused.

TheMacMini09
This panic occurred while reading MixerValues from Info.plist. Please verify VoodooHDA.kext/Contents/Info.plist. There is some syntax error. There doesn't seem to be a syntax error - and if there were, it wouldn't have been created by me, as it would have been in the download from SF. Here is the MixerValues section: <key>MixerValues</key> <dict> <key>PCM</key> <integer>90</integer> <key>Rec</key> <integer>70</integer> <key>iGain</key> <integer>90</integer> <key>iMix</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> There doesn't seem to be anything wrong there, to me. Slice
The kext and the sound is working fine but the only problem is that the mic is always on. Any solution for the mic problem? Play with PrefPane. There doesn't seem to be a syntax error - and if there were, it wouldn't have been created by me, as it would have been in the download from SF.
