sunlit
OK... Confirmed, works like a charm! I updated to 10.7.2 with zero issues so far. Boot time improved, however not as fast as 4 sec. Many thanks, Fabio! You made my day today! Thanks also for including the trim enable option in the recreandae, I have trim ON now, on both my SSDs (vertex2 and crucial c300). zer0c0ol
heylo! i'm having trouble with the USB Boot creation. my motherboard is a P6T Deluxe V2. Lionize 1.06 8GB USB flash drive (GUID format) and labeled "USB Boot" Lion 10.7.1 - (Install MAC OS X Lion.app) Lion 10.7.2 - MacOSXUpd10.7.2.dmg placed in the BOX folder after running Lionize and choosing P6T Deluxe V2, Lion is installed on the USB drive. when i try to boot from the USB drive, it doesn't boot at all. it just hangs immediately. i then tried installing Chimera via ##### (Lion version) on the USB drive. that works. i am given the option to boot from Mac OS X Base System. when i choose to boot from the USB drive, it then says it can't find mach_kernel. there isn't a mach_kernel in the root directory of the USB drive. and yes, i have SHOW ALL FILES enabled. so what am i missing? thanx! sirdemon I have the same problem I have a P6T SE. I'm trying to upgrade straight from 10.6.7 to 10.7.2. Did they hide the kernel away somewhere in 10.7.2's installer? I ran ls -laR | grep mach_kernel in the Mac OS X Base System image and got nothing. Thanks!
luisfdoc1
I have my TV via HDMI, but without it, it is the same issue. I remember that with 10.7.1, I also experienced this issue with restart/shutdown, and it had to do with what App I was doing Kext cache/permission rebuild... it was very weird... Also, in 10.7.1, I was getting a black screen with the Apple logo at the corner, now I do not get that screen... how relevant is that screen? I think restart and shutdown problem is with people using dual monitors? Correct me if i'm wrong
zer0c0ol
I have the same problem I have a P6T SE. It appears that the new Lionize 1.6.02 fixed the mach_kernel problem. Say, is there a way I can get my GTX 570 working on this? When I run the USB from boot, it gets stuck at the following:

waynegretzky
Is there any way to verify that speedstep is throttling our CPUs when the system load allows it? I'm running cpu-x but it always shows 2672mhz for my i7 920 no matter whether the system is idle or under load.
pepegonzales
Do you have any IDE devices DVD or HDD? Do they work? Sorry I didn't saw your question... Well, I just have 2 conventional hard drive on SATA, any problem with it. Also got a Hauppauge tv card and also an internal card reader, not recognized at all but useless as I use them in Win 7. aspin
System stopped booting after the 10.7.2 update. I was updating from a stable 10.7.1 with all hardware working. Booting with -v shows an issue with the audio, and I can only boot with GraphicsEnabler=No. I'll snap a photo of the bootup screen when I come home from work. danic190
Hey guys having an issue installing. Built the key and all, booted off it in verbose mode... Stuck at PCI Configuration Begin Any ideas? EDIT: got around that error with -v npci=0x2000 but now i am stuck at the following line "From path: "uuid", waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1"><key>IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>" And below this over and over it is writing still waiting for root device. As for info, my setup is a p6t ws pro, 2 sticks of 4gb, GTX 480 graphics card. I used lionizer selecting p6t ws pro as my model. I have also selected cuda and with and without the 10.7.1 update. Also tried both MAC 3,1 and 5,1 with no luck. Any ideas what i can try? Edited October 21, 2011 by danic190
kkencuesta
Muchas gracias. Hello Fabio, the problem of "boot: 0 error" installing lion has fixed on a different disk, which had Win7, which I definitely waste (I had over a year without opening it). As indicated some post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...&st=0 http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/...fh4mjea#msg9537 the problem is the hard drive (a WD Caviar Green) with advanced formatting. In this type of disc I have been unable to install the boot, but it has worked perfectly booting from the USB Boot. This installation is the most amazing I've seen, I had nothing to patch and everything works. I want to give my congratulations and all thanks because I know the work it takes to be posting all day. Thank you very much.
waynegretzky
Has anyone tried using these directions to make an "emergency installer partition" on your primary hard disk, next to your Lion partition? For example if something breaks during an update, you could boot into that without having to fish out your USB drive.
xympa
I wanted to update to 10.7.2 (curently on 10.7.1), but honestly, is it worth the trouble? Should i just update and run Recrendae? Is that enough? (my ati is working without anything extra)
