OK

Do it!

My boot is ... 4 seconds :( !! (SSD Hard Disk)

Here the binaries (from my branch), for RAID system use the key SkipFTFix (code taked from Chimeria)

Use Chameleon Wizard to install it. -->

I try to automatize the process and put all into a script.

So..

1) You need an existing OSX to Repair/move rebuild cahce ecc...

2) Update your Lion 10.7.0 or 10.7.1 to 10.7.2

3) Run Recreandae (from Lionize 1.06)--> Here

4) Reboot into a old OSX (ex: Snow or Leopard or other Lion)

5) open terminal and enter in sudo mode

sudo -s

enter your admin pass

now

vsdbutil -i /Volumes/the_name_of_your_Lion_partition

6) Now I suggest to move FakeSMC from Extra/Extensions to S/L/E

For this you can use Kext utility

(In my case I move also AppleVIAATA.Kext)

now remove that file from Extra/Extensions (Of course we talk about the Lion partition)

Always from Kext utitlity now we can rebuild the cache and repair disk permission..

this take some time...

7) ok exit from sudo mode (Terminal)

exit

This work for me..

Lion 10.7.2 Not launching...

I upgraded from 10.7.1 to 10.7.2, then it seemed to work, but I was getting 1024x768... so I added my DeviceID for my GPU, and then I ran Kext Utility... after this, Lion does not start anymore...

I ran a Verbose boot, and everything pass, but it gets stuck at the Grey screen with the Apple Logo...

Fabio, can you help me... What can I do?

Thanks

Copy FakeSMC from Extra/Extensions to S/L/E and then start chameleon with -f -v

I did many tests here and what I can say is that I can only boot if I copy FakeSMC from Extra/Extensions to S/L/E and add:

<key>UseKernelCache</key>

<string>Yes</string>

to org.chameleon.Boot.plist

My mobo is a P6T V2 deluxe.

It did not work. I transferred fakesmc from E/E to S/L/E, and then boot -f -v ... and the same results... I get stuck at the grey apple screen.

I guess I will have to reinstall 10.7.1 ... so what is the correct way to upgrade?

Thanks

Try this

<string>Yes</string>

to org.chameleon.Boot.plist in /extra

Not working...

By the way, while I am at the "gray screen with Apple logo at center), I can hear my Hard Drive, and also the CPU Fan increases, which means High CPU Usage... but it hangs there.. I have to manually restart...

Try this

add:

<key>UseKernelCache</key>

<string>Yes</string>

to org.chameleon.Boot.plist in /extra

If you have a working 10.7.1 install and want to "automate" the moving of your /E/E to /S/L/E before upgrading to 10.7.2 then you can download ##### from tonymacx86's site and run the installer, then just click "Extensions Migration Tool" and let it do the work. This should work if you have a "working" 10.7.2 installation but still have extensions in /E/E as well.

It would be neat if someone could edit Recrendae.command to look for files in /S/L/E instead of /E/E too, or maybe look in both locations.

boot off your stick onto your old lion and it will just downgrade you with nothing lost

make a copy of all of your important kext then use combo update to upgrade then replace the kext

use next utility to fix the extensions the bish bash bosh your good

1. I reinstalled 10.7.1 -> (boots ok with npci=0x2000) @ 1024x768

2. I updated Chameleon with Chameleon Wizard -> (boots ok with npci=0x2000) @ 1024x768

3. I updated to 10.7.2 using Combo ->(boots ok with npci=0x2000) @ 1024x768

4. I ran Kext Wizard (Permissions and Cache for S/L/E) -> BAD!!!!

I started to get panic screen after the Kext Rebuild

Now I can only boot with: -f

Why is the Kext rebuilding/permissions breaking my Lion?

//Update:

5. I ran Recreandae, I get no Panic, but still I need the "-f" to boot

6. I ran Kext Wizard (Permission and Cache for Both EXTRA and S/L/E) -> SUCCESS!!! (boots ok with npci=0x2000) @ 1024x768

7. I added my DeviceID for GeForce 560Ti, then Kext Wizard (Permission and Cache for Both EXTRA and S/L/E) -> SUCESS (boots with npci=0x2000 at full 1080p)

Pending Issues:

a. Lion cannot Restart or Shutdown my PC.

b. I was hoping 10.7.2 would fix my DVD drive, but not =(

I think running Recrendae and then Kext Wizard fixed my issue.

I still have a minor problem, Lion cannot Restart or Shutdown my computer. What would be the best way to fix this?

Thanks!

That did not make any difference.

If I Restart or ShutDown from Lion, the screen goes black and even my monitor goes to standby, BUT my actual system is still ON, hangs....

Thanks

Maybe is relate with your OC? (Over Clock)...

Hey Fabio,

First of all thanks for this guide! I had tried every method and this finally worked for me.

I have a working install of Lion- however I was only able to install it on an external USB hard drive... Have not been able to get it to boot from an internal. Before I installed my Bios was set to IDE instead of AHCI. When I went to install it only my usb thumb drive and external usb hard drives were listed as options to install.

I changed my mode to AHCI and the other drives showed up (the interface was really slow) I was able to install it over my snow leopard onto an internal hard drive but could never get it to boot.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? I have been goggling like mad and can't seen to find a solution.

Specs:

Asus P6T (Bios version 1408)

GTX 470

12GB Ram

Lion 10.7.1

Thanks!!!

-Brandon

heylo!

i'm having trouble with the USB Boot creation.

my motherboard is a P6T Deluxe V2.

Lionize 1.06

8GB USB flash drive (GUID format) and labeled "USB Boot"

Lion 10.7.1 - (Install MAC OS X Lion.app)

Lion 10.7.2 - MacOSXUpd10.7.2.dmg placed in the BOX folder

after running Lionize and choosing P6T Deluxe V2,

Lion is installed on the USB drive.

when i try to boot from the USB drive, it doesn't boot at all.

it just hangs immediately.

i then tried installing Chimera via ##### (Lion version) on the USB drive.

that works. i am given the option to boot from Mac OS X Base System.

when i choose to boot from the USB drive, it then says it can't find mach_kernel.

there isn't a mach_kernel in the root directory of the USB drive.

and yes, i have SHOW ALL FILES enabled.

so what am i missing?

thanx! sirdemon

Hi Fabio, No, I already tested with default and it is the same. This problem started after one of the Kext Rebuild/Permissions.... I have seen fixes for SnowLeopard online (shutdown/restart fix), but not yet for Lion...

Thanks

Maybe is relate with your OC? (Over Clock)...
