emufreak
My Hackintosh runs reasonably well. I just got one annoying problem. I can't change the brightness of my screen. If I try to use the Keys fn+f8 to adjust brightness my computer crashes. What makes things worse is, the brightness seems to go down on its own. After a few hours I have to boot into windows and adjust the brightness. I've seen this tread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101966 that recommends to use setpci. Does anybody know the prober setpci command to adjust brightness with an Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS or can recommend another solutions.

spyroskor
@Jykobz, The file you had uploaded on MEGA is not available anymore. Could you please re-upload it? I have installed Maverics on a Fujitsu Siemens Si 2636 laptop with Intel GMA 965 (X3100) and everything else works except brightness control. When I operate the laptop on battery, the screen is very dim, I cannot see anything. All help appreciated.
