jonz14
Found this article on BetaNews here I think it is a bit to much even for the basic edition......and way to much for the ultimate edition.

brewno
M$ will never get a cent from me. My next OS investment will be definately OSX. Better software, better prices.
SenVa
I'm not going to spend that kind of money for vista. I am going to boot it unless I can find it for a reasonable price... I'm sure are alot of people in the same boat as I'm in.
drcreek
RARR RAAR FIDDLEY DEE! BEING A PIRATE IS ARIGHT WITH ME! Especially at these prices. It's even more for us UK people coz we get screwed over with tax, about 7-10% more than most US states i think. not entirely sure how it works over the pond. all i know is for my standard 20" imac I'm buying next week it's $2,150.74 (£1,129.00). Bradley
Microsoft has just announced the official, real-deal prices for Windows Vista. So, without the benefit of a timpani drumroll, here's the deets, straight from the horse's mouth (this time): Windows Vista Business ($300 full, $200 upgrade); Windows Vista Home Premium ($240 full, $160 upgrade); Windows Vista Home Basic ($200 full, $100 upgrade); Windows Vista Ultimate ($400 full, $260 upgrade). Although Vista is to be released to the "volume license customers" in November 2006 and the general public in January 2007, what if you wanted a preview sooner than that? Our peeps up in Redmond have also said that the company will be make the Release Candidate 1 available through the soon to be re-opened Vista Customer Preview Program. The only question we have left is which VAR is going to release the first Mac with Vista pre-installed? source on Engadget written on sept 5th
