I followed your guidelines for "Custom ati kexts" but I do not get the right combination. I have an Acer Aspire 7741G with screen 17" (1600x900x32) with Ati mobility 5650 and I can not work with GraphicsEnabler = Yes I have created a forum thread with all the details of my numerous tests. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=277765 Please, can anyone help me? bogdantiku Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 cpus=1 is not an issue anymore on Mountain Lion DP4 for me. I got full QE/CI but didn't have to use the full method described here. I did use my base 64 EDID file, didn't use the boot file, no DSDT, other ATi kext then ML provided already. Instalation method was myhack 3.1. One thing to solve is the use of myhack USB stick to boot up the system. Installed Chameleon keeps restarting. Have to check myhack chameleon version. Segnale007 Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 I have finally got full resolution & QE/CI on my Sony Vaio VPCEB3M1 using ATI HD 5650 thanks to you guys. However though, the boot file and Chamaleon r875 did break the VoodooPS2 support. So now I am left with no trackpad on my laptop, and the only way I had to make it to work was using VoodooPS2 and Chameleon-2.1svn-r1902. I was wondering if anyone could compile a boot file with ATI5650 ID for that Chamaleon, or another version that wont break VoodooPS2. This is extracted from Sony VAIO EB2 series running on ATI 5650M. Not sure if it is safe to use if your manufacturer is different. Retsckor Posted August 26, 2012 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Hi guys I have been trying to get this to work on my ACER with 5650M graphics.. however i get the blue screen all the time after i boot... if i boot with -x (Safe mode) it boots with correct resolution! any idea on how i can solve this? i followed the tutorial step by step.. so im guessing if it works on safe mode then there is a way to make it work without -x? im using aticonfig=hoolock with gfenabler=yes... hope you guys can help!
