skyview
Greetings, I am a newbie and I am in sponge mode. I am trying to understand the differnces in the various DVD ISOs. Can someone tell me the differences between the two packages? Is one more suited towards AMD or Intel? Does one support more devices or considered more stable than the others? Thanks In Advance! cbmkgd
Since jas is on intel and can't directly test on amds (as reported by himself if i recall), and since myzar does work with an amd system, i tend to go with myzar's for my amd platform, although i haven't tested jas isos yet on amd and don't speak from personal experience. So my usual first reaction would be to recommand jas for intel, and myzar for amd. But there are amd users who do install with jas' isos (or hotiso, which is also jas') without problems and love it. And vice versa. Only jas and myz could answer this properly; and they probably collaborate (at least i hope so).
Gary Coleman
the difference for me is Jas does not work and Myz works
makasin
what do you mean JaS doesnt work? I just installed JaS and it was the easiest installation ever. I just created a partition, popped in the dvd, and bam! OSX
wondergod
i believe the phrase would be "to each his own" use what works...I prefer the JaS but then again to tell you the truth I've never tried any other one...
DiaboliK
JaS was intel and Myzar was amd in the beginning, now they are about the same. with JaS you have more customization from the additional install tree.

zedzed
How about HOTISO version? That is the one I got from the newsgroups and it did not give me an option for SSE3 optimization but there was a generic Intel + AMD optimization Is JAS better than HOTISO? dtm3dd
Simplest piece of advice is to try both - well do what the others say (myzar foir AMD, JaS for intel) and if it doesnt work try the other.
cbmkgd
HOTISO osx dvd is usually a scene release of JaS osx dvd (although i didn't check that with the latest 10.4.7 dvd).
