Hello everyone. Hopefully, someone can help me with an issue I am having.

First things first, here are my specs:

Intel Q6600 Quad @ 2.4ghz

nForce680i SLI

PNY GTX 480 Video card

2GB Ram

And 3 hard drives.

I successfully installed Hazards 10.6.2, and was having problems getting my Video card to function properly. I read that 10.6.7 had Native drivers for the GTX 480. I successfully updated to 10.6.7, but the OS is still not recognizing my video card. When I boot up with flags -v -f arch=i386, I see that it states "NVDAGF100Hal Loaded and registered" but still only able to see 1024x768 resolution, and when going to more info, and graphics cards, there is no information about the GTX 480. I have tried using EFI Studio and injecting the string, but that does not work, and I have set "GraphicsEnabler" to yes, and still not getting anywhere.

If anyone could help me with this issue, that would be great!

Thank you!

The nvidia drivers that ship with Snow Leopard have no Fermi support. This may change with 10.6.8, but for now you need to install the nvidia Quadro 4000 drivers for Snow Leopard.

Do I need to hack any of the drivers with my deviceID, or will it work fine after installing??

Thanks!

Got it working by booting with PCIRootUID=1. I had originally been told I didn't need to do that.

Thanks for your help Gringo, I now need to figure out how to get my second GTX480 to work as well. But all the dual video card guides I see are out dated

I will most likely make a new post in the general card section

Thanks again!!!

Great, good job.

Remember that OS X has no SLI support. I don't know if it's necessary to unplug the SLI cable.

Chameleon GraphicsEnabler can't inject two video cards at the same time, at least not yet. You need to use a different injection method such as DSDT gfx0 device or hand-modified NVEnabler.kext.

If you can't find a tutorial on how to inject two GTX 480's via DSDT, find out how to inject just one and concentrate on that until it works. Once you have accomplished this it should be a piece of cake to adapt a tutorial/guide for injecting two other nvidia video cards via DSDT to your needs.
