I have the same problem: as a long time Mac owner, I have the retail 10.6 and 10.6.3 installation DVDs. After I boot from your CD and insert either of the official retail DVDs and try to boot from them, I see a brief message "Can't find mach kernel", then back to the main Chameleon screen.

Any ideas?

Do you have sleep working without NullCPUPowerManagement and SleepEnabler? I patched my AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext using the speedstepper tool, but still don't have sleep.

System never shuts down completely and the screen re-initializes after about 3 seconds. Any ideas?

Been using, supporting and selling Macs (and more) since 1984, pro graphics guy from WAY back, and making Hac Pro's and other hackintoshes for five years now, pretty much since Apple gave beige boxes to devs back in the beginning days of the Intel switch. Love my Macs, love my Hacs equally. Typing this on a modded MacBook Pro (2010) dual SSD. :P

Have you stress tested your rig at 4.3GHz? What are you temps at load and idle?

Did you use Aquamac's dual card graphics string hack for your dual card setup?

Any little quirks, issues that might not seem like a big deal but are worth notign that you might have left out?

Thanks again, I look forward to getting this rig up and will keep you posted.

Hey,

I'm having this issue, my installer runs until around 50%, and then I get an error message and it says mac could not complete the install.

Is there anything I should do besides -v and -x while booting?

I have:

Asus P8p67 Rev B3.0

Intel Core i5 2500K
