Can you send me your rtc (my dsdt is already patche but i've no ssdt tables and..agree..i cannot mod uefi bios!)

 

DO you have the i7-2630QM processor if so just grab the 2nd attachment ssdt.aml.2900-800.zip and setup your com.apple.Boot.plist as dropssdt=yes and generate cstate=no and generate pstate=no. Use Chameleon Wizzard to modify your CABP.

 

I have not patched any other kext. Not rtc nothing. Just added the HWSensors latest binary from the HWSensors thread. Fakesmc, NouveauSensor, IntelThermal, and I think I put in ACPIsensor. DOn't use anything else you will get kernel panics.

 

For audio I found it on kexts.yyy replace yyy with the usual. Is your audio ALC269? Just search it you will find one. Do audio at the very end when you have everything else working in case you get kernel panics you will know its not from audio.

 

DSDT must be perfect to. Mine was prepared by Mald0n.

 

Your graphics card is not Optimus enabled is it if so it won't work. Asus makes different gamers laptops some which lock out the Optimus and others which do not. Those which do not will not work on OSX.

 

Hi there. flAked's patch, in a way how el cognilio and oldnapalm implemented it in their perl script is now available in Clover bootloader as on-the-fly In-memory patch during booting. Since i did not mod bios, this patch was needed to allow me to install ML like on a real Mac - running ml install app to init installer and then rebooting with Clover into installer to do the install.

You can ignore that ssdt-1 message it did load the ssdt but it is just telling you there is no ssdt-1, ssdt-2 etc.

 

I will have a look later. WHich Graphics Card do you have?

ok I tested a lot of sensors but most give me kp except for hardware sensors they are recent

I 've also 2 thresds.. my laptop is the ROG asus G53s series.. and the video is great GTX460m 1,5ddr3 192bit pipeline

the video has a storical frandom freeze problem in all the bsd/mac OS from lion ML DP3. And I add that all the people (tonymac netkas insanely etc..) know that for that problem the only solution is to use a certain kind of version of the driver (an old driver) with the opencl patch.

BUT since the DP4 ML the problem is solved. and the opencl is still patched inside! So I never have the need to mod the vanilla GM driver of Mountain lion.

I tried to figure out how to enable turbo boost on my first generation core i7 640m

 

When I use chameleon p/c states generation my cpu reach x22 multiplier

 

Created custom SSDT table with my states, now i only have x21 multiplier

 

and don't know is boost working, speed step is definitely working but boost? how to check?

hi, can someone look to my ssdt and dsdt,because i have only 2 pstates,8x and 22x.

I patched aicpm.kext create my ssdt with revo script,removed nullcpu...everything seems good but not really working, i tried a lot of smbios and no more results...

I'm on 10.8.1, on a hp laptop the cpu is a core i3 2330m.

Does anyone have or know how to generate SSDT for 3770K. I've attached AIDA generated SSDT tables if anyone can help. Running 10.8.2, SM-iMac12,2. So far I only get 16,35,39 but when I use SM-MP3,1 i get 16,17,18,19,20,35,39. Should this incrementaly (steps of one) go from 16->39 or is this correct? Also what are the correct PStates for 3770K?

dont use imac12,2, as said, open the imac12,2.plist look under SP11 and read the numbers in hex it just says "undefined".

i changed to macbookpro8,3 for my i-2600k and it works well ( but i am still on 10.7.5)

 

so i dont think it gets better with another SSDT

there is no need to edit the kext inside for speedstep, unless you know all about it.

just choose the nearest cpu type out of the mac range. ( in my case Macbookpro8,3 = i2670)

Ran into a snag with my Acer 5750-9292. The SpeedStepper mod worked fine for 10.7.3 but under 10.7.4 and 10.7.5, AICPUPM.kext KPs even after the mod. It KPs in a different place though. Instead of crashing right near the beginning of the boot cycle as it does with a vanilla AICPUPM.kext, it KPs near the end right before going into graphics mode.

 

I can actually boot standalone, put NullCPUPM.kext back and come up again.

 

I know that my 10.7.4 mod is good because this same v1.93 AICPUPM.kext works on a Gateway NV57H running 10.7.4 that is very nearly the same notebook.

 

What gives ?

OK, figured it out by sifting through this very thread, embarrassing :{

 

I'll now post this again very clearly so that others may benefit. So here goes ...

 

If you have successfully patched your AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext so that you do not KP early in the boot process but then do KP right near the end just before going to the loginwindow then this applies to you.

 

You need to add DropSSDT=Yes to your org.chameleon.Boot.plist file. I'm not sure if it's necessary but I also set GeneratePStates=No since that seemed consistent. I then hunted down a custom SSDT.aml for my CPU to complete the enabling of SpeedStep.

 

This late boot KP starts on some laptops (Acer 5750 i7-2630QM) with 10.7.4 and waits until 10.7.5 for others (Gateway NV57U/Core i5-2410m).
