lithaborn
Sorry if this is old news, newbie member hasn't had time to read all 14 pages! See my sig for info on my setup. I got my Via Rhine 2 card connected yesterday using the pinxue driver, but only once. Each time I've tried after that - and I've tried rebooting, reinstalling OS X, switching en0 on and off multiple times, using the graphical interface and manual method...you name it, it seems the card is recognised, but won't connect. What did I do wrong??

esmith1977
My Netgear GA311 worked under 10.4.8 perfectly (using the Neopheus driver installer)... (that is the RTL1xxx installer for RTL 8169, RTL8168, RTL8110, RTL8111, RTL8100, and RTL8101 chips) When I upgraded to 10.4.9, it croaked... I got intenet when I browsed, but No connections to my fileservers... "connect to" did not work at all.. Has anyone seen drivers die between versions? Is this particular driver now dead... calypso1966
EDIMAX EW-7318USG (USB-Stick with SMA Connector for detachable antenna) is fully working It uses a Ralink chipset and I used the driver RT2571W/RT2671+RT2500USB from here I only installed the .dmg and configured my network. Additional editing of system files seemed not to be needed. WEP, WPA and WPA2 is supported. For me, WPA(TKIP) works like a charm. The other encryption methods are not tested yet. I think that there also will be no problem. WEP tested successfully. "Live" switching between different APs with different encryption is possible. I recommend this USB WLAN device for use in windows too. Long distance to the AP or wardriving can be solved much easier because you can use a seperate (even directional) antenna. OcciJano
Xmedia model IT-WL542, USB Network wireless works. Prod. Id 0x6001 Vend. Id 0x07b8 Manufact. Id. wug2670 I'm Using Zydas USB Driver It works for me, I'm using a Hackintosh with 10.4.9 The only problem that it has is, the network adapter can't work after system restart. So, I shut down a then turn on the computer. I've read that it is very common for USB network adapters in the Mac OS-Intel.

johnmelano
I don't know if this one has been posted yet, but the Trendnet TE100-PICWA works natively in 10.4.9 (JAS, which is the only one I tried). It works right out of the box, nothing to be messed with. It's not gigabit, but I suppose the gigabit model of it would work as well.
