megavolkan Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Hey, i have a question: I've followed the steps, restored Lion installer onto my usb thumb drive, installed Extra package successfuly. But when i tried to installed Chameleon RC5 onto usb drive installer shows a yellow triangle on my usb and says "Chameleon RC5 can't be installed on this disk. My Lion install sees two displays connected to my ATI R5770, when in fact there is only one. I made a post about it in the Graphics Cards section, here, that gives more details. (verbose log) When I attempt to reboot when running lion, it kills all PIDS and unmounts drives. In *snow leopard* my pc would hard restart after this, but in *Lion* it it just stays there and i have to manually push the restart button. I did manage to loosely follow the OP's instructions, I have tried the dsdt auto patcher, and currently i have NullCpuPowermanagement.kext and those keys for the boot.plist installed. iquit040 Posted July 16, 2011 Share Posted July 16, 2011 ok... getting stuck on an install on EVGA 132-bl-758 I patched my dsdt from windows, wiped the drive clean and can install just fine Will boot the first time no issues at all the only flags i am forced to use are PCIRootUID=1 and arch=i386 (graphics card in this system is a 7900 gto) Once I finish the process of installing the extra folder for 1366 system (4,1) and putting my dsdt in, I install nullcpu kext , audio, and lan kext. before rebooting audio is working and so lan once i reboot it gets stuck. sits on loading reporting Appleintelcpupowermanagment has time out what am i missing? I have tried three different usb sticks and it happens with all them. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on ? My specs are in my sig. My specs are in my sig. there's i a Bug with GigaByte Boards and USB sticks! the Stick must have a ' Partition Table '. format the stick with ' MBR - Partition Table ' and not ' GUID ' ! I have 2 Systems one is Intel DP35DP, ATI Radeon HD4850 and I have successfully installed Lion in it. My second system is Intel DG41RQ on this system I am facing some problems to install Lion. It gets stuck on PCI Configuration Begin, so I tried putting IOPCIFamily.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.6.7 release and it passed the PCI Configuration error but then it hangd on DSMOS has arrived or Still waiting for Root Device randomly. My motherboard doesn't have AHCI option to choose. I tried putting AppleIntelPIIXATA2.kext but with no luck. This system was working with iPortable 10.6.2 installation before. Please help me.
