Whenever I attempt to run the Extra or Chameleon packages, they both hang on "writing package receipt". They work fine if I were to select a blank partition, but anything after completing the Restore step they always hang. Is there any way around this or can I copy what I need over manually?

Thanks a lot.

using a magic mouse and the scroll bars on windows become virtual like iOS and the os generally feels more like iOS.

Ok so far I have setup my flash drive, however my computer won't get past the post screen when I have my USB stick in. My specs are in my signature, what might be the cause for this?

I've got exactly the same problem ;) I have a 8800GTS 320MB, which runs from Leopard 10.5.X without any problem. I don't get this problem. What's causing this?!

MaLd0n, I was wondering if you could help me with my DSDT. I've got a Maximus formula with the Rampage conversion on BIOS 0408. I was able to successfully install Lion using your patch, but a few things aren't working. Number one is internet, I don't know exactly why, but Lion doesn't recognize my ethernet adapter as a device at all. Second is sleep, if I try to put the system to sleep it won't wake and requires me to reset CMOS before the system can even boot. Third is graphics. I have a non-apple EVGA GTX285 which I've enabled with a string in com.apple.Boot.plist, but am wondering if it's possible to enable it natively through the DSDT. If not, it's not a big deal. But ethernet and sleep I definitely need. Here's my current DSDT attached. Thanks much in advance!

DSDT not original

If you are using the Mac OS version of DSDT Auto-Patcher, do NOT use a DSDT replacement in Chameleon when you run the app, or it will be used as base for patching instead of the original one from BIOS. If you have a dsdt.aml in / or /Extra (or a specified file for DSDT key in com.apple.Boot.plist), remove it and reboot before running the Auto-Patcher.

IF YOU WANT TO USE THE AUTO-PATCHER

NEED THE ORIGINAL DSDT

Do not use DSDT from other computer, in many cases even if the mobo and BIOS version are the same, the amount of memory, number of used memory slots, etc. can cause problems.

Extract from Windows and Apply again

Hi MaLd0n. Many thanks for the DSDT! Yay!:)

When I ran the D.A.P., I wasn't having any DSDT anywhere. This isn't new to me, pal. I have used it for SL 10.6.0 too. It gave an error then, and now... :(;)

Nevertheless, just to get the best done, I'm gonna boot Win7 and extract new as you advised.

However, I'm posting from Lion and everything's working great. I even transferred SnowLeo's All /User and /App data using Migration Assistant. And, everything is as truly working fine!!!

Except Little Snitch, CUDA, iStat Menus, and few tiny apps that aren't yet compatible with Lion 10.7.

But, just tell me, once I have the a new & fresh extracted DSDT from windows, where do I copy it and place it to use with D.Auto.Pat. in Lion?

As I understand, to patch this new fresh DSDT.aml, I must boot (into Lion) without having a DSDT in /Extra or / of Lion partition, right? I hope, I'm doing it right.

Though, this hasn't been my first build exactly. Been on OSX since "Dead Moo" days. :P:) :) :dev::gun:

MaLd0n, can you tell me what exactly you changed in my DSDT? I can't see any major differences except that it's one line shorter.

Also, I'm having some serious problems with Lion all of a sudden. I just realized that half the preferences I apply don't stick. For instance, I just set a bunch of different view options for Finder. Logged out, logged back in, and discovered that they had all reset to default. I can set them and they'll work, but if I relaunch Finder everything goes back to stock. I don't think this is a problem with Lion because on my MBP everything works fine. Anyone else experiencing this? I tried repairing permissions to no avail.

Hi MaLd0n. Thanks a Mill! :D

I replaced your compiled DSDT file in Lion. Have to check the difference after booting... ;)

I had just booted to Windows, and extracted the latest acpi_dsdt.bin file.

I'm attaching herewith. send_me_FreakyChokra.zip Have a look-see. Please?

PS: How should I go with using the newly extracted acpi_dsdt.bin file with D.A.Patcher.app in Mac?

How do you go about it?

As in? Couldn't get you...
