Vanderlee
Hi all.. I think UDMA is one of the most important think if we want to speed up our hackintosh. I hope we can post all of the instructions. If there's a post about enabling UDMA for some chipset, we can post it with a referer.. eg: UDMA in 939 http://blablabla.. thanks.. ps: actually I haven't found how to enable UDMA in 855 chipset
Korrupted
Err..mind explaining to us what it is first?
Vanderlee
From what I know, UDMA is Ultra Direct Memory Access which will increase speed to accessing you disk. For example normal disc without UDMA/DMA will only get a score about 4 MB/s in xbench, but it's activated, the score will increase for about 40 MB/s. And it'll extremely increase our OSX performance (CMIIW) Here's some of the link: 939 chipset: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...2400&hl=DMA
