Dear Omnipotent Ones,

I used the ALC8XX, AppleHDA Rollback, and ALC888 Enabler from ##### to get sound through my HDMI cable. It works great for stereo sound, but when I'm using any 5.1 Passthrough (in Plex, Boxee, etc) I get frequent audio "drop outs" and occasional distortion after several minutes of viewing. If I stop the video and then resume it, the audio signal is clear again for several minutes, then drops again, distorts again and so on.

**I have ruled out programs, cables, HDTVs ability to passthrough DTS/AC3, and Home Theater as the problem. So I'm guessing it's the kexts and hardware. Any advise?... hardware upgrades?... DSDT alternative... or black magic you can recommend that might provide a constant audio stream? Please point me in the right direction!

Thank you.
