Swad
http://dot.kde.org/1155935483/ Anyone try it yet? I'd love to see some screenshots.
vince29
Before anyone goes ahead and compiles/runs this, please be aware that it will look exactly like KDE 3.5 - except for being broken in lots of places. I think Plasma has not been implemented yet. We'll have to wait a bit longer before we see any new UI design. Maybe in the first technical preview after Dublin conference ? lord_muad_dib
they r still in early development. important libs aren't completely ported to qt4. looking at the build name "Krash" kde4 isn't that stable i'm compiling it right now on my gentoo.. i'll tell if it works(i doubt it will end to compile indeed )
dabear
There is no visual difference from kde 3.5, yet. This is only a developers preview, and is only intended for testing out the new kdelibs pluss QT
Swad
Ah, ok. While I figured a lot of the features weren't put in place yet, they mentioned some UI things that made me curious.
Colonel
I'm not sure, but I think there was supposed to be support for OS X's widgets in KDE4.
