Hi mate... excuse me for the out of topic entry but... why use /Extra/KextStore?

I assume you're creating a Extensions.mkext out of that folder, because Chameleon doesn't check it at all!

If you're using Kext Wizard to install kexts, you don't need it anymore; check this post and you'll understand why.

Yea, I'm using kextwizard

 

I got the idea of trying this folder from the Collection of working solutions thread where someone stated that in his case the card only works properly when putting the kexts there

As i mentioned Chameleon doesn't look for that folder! The folder to put kexts in Extra must be named Extensions.

There's not even a key to force the booter to load kexts from another folder so, i wonder how the kexts you want to use are being loaded from there???

That folder was just a solution for a human error, to force Chameleon to load E/E.mkext... i explain it on the post i pointed you.

 

About kexts loading from E/E and not loading E/E.mkext, my experience (and i'm not alone on this) is exactly the opposite; most kexts that don't load from E/E, will happily load from E/E.mkext. That's all i can say

Here's what all I've tried:

 

LinearBurns Beta3: When booting with PciRoot=1 I get black screen on internal LVDS, though screen and card are properly recognized + QE/CI and Res-Change. VGA and HDMI working properly. I can VNC into the system from my Lion hackintosh and see what should actually be displayed on internal LVDS

 

LinearBurns Beta4a1: System booting endlessly in normal and safe boot

 

10.6.7 kexts with modded Shrike personality in S/L/E: when booting with PciRoot=1 all outputs show garbled screen and system is unresponsive

 

Same kexts in E/E: When booting with PciRoot=1 Card and Screen are recognized, but not totally correct as posted from SysProfiler yesterday

And why Peregrine have only 2 instance ? VGA HDMI and LVDS can works with Peregrine ?

I mean that the maker and model of the card and the display are detected correctly. But the amount of vram is wrong and there is no QE/CI nor res-change

 

On startup I noticed that it was missing IONDRVSupport.kext and IOGraphicsFamily.kext

 

But when I put them into E/E too there is the same effect as with all kexts in S/L/E: Black screen backlit

if your resuolation is higher than 1366*768 you must add dual link line to your dsdt.or you get black screen every time boot your mac.this the problem that modded kext dos not work for you.

I'm getting to the point wehre I might reverse my desktop back to windows, untill i can get my laptop up and running fully functional with osx.. I do alot of music production, and many times I fix up mixes and ideas on the go (on my laptop) but it's such a hasle when I use logic on my desktop (which is such an awesome program) and cubase on my laptop :/

 

I'll keep trying things and check in once in a while, I wish all of you the best of luck :] and if you get any progress, I'd adore you to pieces if you'd pm me :]

I have a problem with my Ati Mobility Radeon 4650 1002_9480 on my notebook Samsung R522-JS01PL becouse command ./radeondump < myvbios.rom nothing shows me.

 

Yesterday I installed last RadeonHD.kext in S/L/E and working good, when I change key in info.plist Hwcursor. I have a good resolution on laptop screen and VGA output, but No QE/CI and in Ioreg shows only 256Mb Vram.

 

From S/L/E I delete 4600controller.kext and atifremebuffer, here is my DSDT
