jrsdead
He is basically offering to buy the dongle, which lets Logic Pro work. Without the dongle the software doesn’t function, so I would say there probably would be a market for second hand copies of Logic Pro. jrsdead
plastique.kinetic
yeah. the problem is where... the thing is that ive got the software... all i need is the original plug-ins, samples, etc. so... that's kinda the largest thing. i really need that drum machine.... ultrabeat, the synths etc. so i might as well buy an used copy. Mackie
Yeah if anyone wants to get rid of a dongle... I mean, used copy of Logic, I'm interested as well. I'm meaning a reasonable price.
yoda75
Check Ebay guys. I've seen the full retail version of LP7 go for basically half price. Just be careful that it's not an academic version or your upgrade path will be screwed. Another option is to look for a used version of LP6 (it can be had for dirt cheap on ebay when you can find it) and then buy the upgrade to LP7 form Apple. Either method will put you into Logic Pro around the $500 mark. Good luck.

But i've heard different elsewhere. This issue is so unclear!!

Unless they've changed the rules since June of this year, My academic version of logic pro 7.2 won't be upgradable to the next major revision. I'm fully elligible for all of the 7.x updates, but when they start shipping 8.0 or whatever, I'm out and will have to buy another copy. I got mine for 300 dollars, but I am a student. Not bad for all the features of Logic Pro.
