demibatard
Hello, I have a pretty stable system running Mac OS X 10.6.3, using my MSI X58 platinum motherboard. However, there are still some issues that I would like to get cleared up: I would like to be able to shut down the system, but every time I try to shutdown, the system runs the unmount scripts, the computer 'turns off', and then after a few seconds it 'turns on' again (there is an audible click, everything powers down for a few seconds, but then there is another click and it powers up again). I currently have both the OpenHaltRestart.kext and SleepEnabler.kext, but I don't know if these will solve the problem. Is there any other kexts and/or work-arounds for this? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246009-kexthack-for-shutting-down-msi-x58-platinum/ Share on other sites
BDKerr11
Anybody know the fix for this? I have the same motherboard and osx 10.6.8 and same problem. It runs solid but when I shut it down everything shuts off completely. Then, it just magically starts back up, like its ALIVE!
