djabi90
hello all! I successfully installed MAC OS X on my netbook! Thank to iAtkos v7 10.5.7 and various users! Everything is working other than my Wifi. I have a broadcom wireless card installed in it factory. However, I have not been able to get it to work even though I tried various stuff with this forum. Anyone have any suggestions? I think my card is a 43XG as stated in Windows 7. Im not even sure if there is a card like that. Can someone help me out? Please and Thank You! If you need help with a successful install on your Aspire D250-1151 I can help! SteMac85
Hello djabi! You can try with a usb-wifi key supported by leopard, give a look in the wiki: WIKI and search for network cards. Bye! djabi90
So i just now installed 10.5.8 on my Acer. Everything still works except Wifi. I have tried this, http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51725 , since I own a broadcom card. And my icon at top still says "Unknown Vendor" I went to More Info and when I looked in my PCI Cards section it shows me this: Type: Other network Controller Driver Installed: No Bus: PCI Vendor ID: 0x14e4 Device ID: 0x4315 and so on... So i guess my card is a 4315 correct? Well is there any other way I can get it to work?? Im really lost here. Any help is apreciated! I've been playing with camTwist 2.0, which recognizes the webcam, but when i try to link it to another app like skype it just freezes or ceases to work... and have you tested your internal mic? which kext are you using for sound? Thanks, EDIT> just to confirm that after some testing my webcam is working! with camTwist but with skype 2.8**. For some reason it wan't working with the new update (5.2**). But anyway, i like more the old one. Wifi is also working fine with Kismac 0.2.99 (extreme airport card, passive mode to scan for networks). I also ran a script i found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...aded&start= don't know if it made a difference though, beacause of the way/order i was testing it. If i can get the internal mic working then everything will be quite perfect except for some not annoying kernel panics sometimes when i start the computer. Has anyone managed to get the internal mic working? please let know...
