laggy mouse

Hey everyone.

 

I'm back to playing with my new VM and I'd like to figure out how to get the mouse to speed up. It's really slow and laggy. I've tried the mouse settings, but they don't do anything at all.

 

I'm running a fresh install from retail with updates on an ESXi 4.1 server.

 

using vSphere 4.1 from Windows 7 to connect to the console session. that's what I'm looking to speed up.

What kind of mouse emulation are you using, PS/2 or USB?

 

If using vUSB, it should just work, though only if guestos="darwin...".

 

If using PS/2 mouse, you should install VMMouse, it switches to VMware's absolute pointing device, which is much better than plain PS/2 mouse emulation.

On another note, I've noticed that while loading up itunes the system will crash quite frequently. I might be just leaving it for a while causes the crash, but i'm not sure how to troubleshoot the issue. Please find attached my vmx file and thanks for the help.

I guess I figured out that I'm using osguest="darwin10-64" and the mouse works, but it's really laggy. is there a way to fix this?
