As a long time hackintosh user, hacker, and follower, apple pisses me off frequently. So when my family dragged me into the local Apple store i took my rage out in the store. I went on every computer and loaded up Insanelymac as the default page on safari for every computer. I was going to hack it, and change the passwords but i almost got caught B)

You should've seen the apple employees' faces when they were giving demos and that came up.

If you really wanna {censored} them off - Schedual an appointment for tech support. Then bring in your hackintosh laptop. When they see you taking it out of the case, theyll be like, ummm, sry, this is an Apple store, we dont service PC's. Then be like, "i know..." and fire it up. Ide love to see the looks on their face.

There's no way Apple is going to sue someone who uses their operating system. The cost alone would be outrageous.

Theyve done it before and will do it again to "set an example" cause theyre stupid like taht and they make the sorry sap who gets sued pay for all of THEYRE legal feels too :( its stupid... its not going to stop ne one, just like the mpaa

ooh, and MacSimizeDenver just as a hint, be nice and dont resist... cause then they have nothing to go on and even if they call security the security will just make you leave... so they cant get you on anything :) be careful and have fun!

They sued someone who used their operating system "illegally"? Really? when?

well they havnt sued for that... but they would sue for warezing and distributing teh file as they do all the time... and i wouldnt want to take the chance ether way.... as apple has been known to be a little sue-happy... and MacSimizeDenver, no problem, let us know how it goes!

This is true. I definitely wouldnt mess around with apple on the Hackintosh issue, though i've been dared to so many times by everyone i know. But walking into an Apple store with a dell running Hackintosh is like walking into a police station carrying a loaded gun and smoking a joint. Ambush. Suicide. What's funny is respectable company's like dell (well not 'respectable' like i love m. dell and ur company but well-known and prestigious companies on the market) don't give a {censored} if you load Mac OS X on it. I've talked to dell employees in the 'hypothetical sense' or "my friend has... is it legal?... What's dell's stance on it..." I even showed it to a dell technician who came to my house. He heard about the project and was interested when i showed it to him. No lecture or anything.. lol. I would love to see an Apple's employee's reaction - from a safe distance that is... lol. ITS EMULATION I SWEAR TO GOD

rofl. I was just in the apple store again the other day. Just want to say how legal Apple mac users (the dudes who r like 100% mac and know nothing else) are the BIGGEST noobs ever. I was in the store showing my little bro the ropes of the Cars video game and how to play, etc. The woman next to me asks me "How do you turn the volume down?". I told her, "try the key that has a volume sign that looks like it means louder". She says, "oh, now that makes sense doesn't it?". rofl... Then i turn around to the Genius Bar; there's one macbook running the windows XP install. My question is: "Why the :D do you need a 'genius' to pop the cd in the drive and run boot camp?". Thefunniest thing is, there was like 10 ppl at the least just crowding the machine; "ooooh". Me: "noobs..." Apple customers... aren't they silly?

I like to visit the Apple store in our mall (Dell kiosk sits just outside). In this Apple shop, it seems they count on the customer noobness when they hire some of the sales people... A replay of the old "Radio Shack: You've got questions, We've got blank stares." A few mostly younger ones are sharp, but most are Mac-only. Dell guys seem impressed that OSX runs well on some of their machines, get a kind of awed look... Hee Hee. :)
