David Leonard
Hey, I am having huge issues with my EVGA GeForce 9500 GT. When I try to enable QE/CI/Resolutions it does not want to work with anything. Some Details: Dell Dimension E521 AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (1.9 GHz) Nvidia Nforce 4 Chipset 2GB RAM EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT (1GB DDR2) (Device ID: 0640) Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.6 Chameleon RC4 AppleNforceATA by MeDevil Broadcom 440x Ethernet Kext Voodoo Kernel If you need any more information I can provide it to you. Here is what I have tried: Chameleon's GraphicsEnabler: No response at all, but it does look like it gets recognized by chameleon, it does not do anything for the cause in OSX. NVenabler: When I am plugged into the DVI port closet to the MB, I get 1680x1050, but no QE/CI and it acts super weird. After boot, the keyboard is slow to respond on the screen and the mouse in unusable, it either stutters or it is moving super fast, either way I cant use it and I have to use the KB to get around. I am still working through at re-testing all of the different nvidia patches (I have done this before, but with no success). I know that people have gotten this card to work, so I am suspecting an issue with the chipset, I don't know. Please Help! e13c7r0nic
try to install osx 10.6.2 from idenb, later upgrade to 10.6.3. you can find it on tpb Did this work? I have the same computer. I haven't been able to get it to work with anything either. I've also tried everything, GraphicsEnabler, EFI strings, NVinject, NVkush, NVEnabler. I've flashed my card to get the NVCAP and generate a custom EFI string, etc. I've tried all of these one at a time so as to isolate the cause. It's an AMD system, so I've ran Marvin's AMD Utility to patch kexts with UUIDs and replace encrypted ones. What I'm going to try now is replacing NVDAResman and NVDANV50Hal with the ones from 10.5.5, which, I've read, worked. Anybody else been able to get CI/QE on this machine on 10.6.x?
