No! Either Internal Speakers or both Line out, nothing.

I tested front and back jacks, also nothing...

After running the DSDT Auto-pacther, I just dropped the kext into Extra/Extensions and restarted.

I missed something?

the problem must be with the kext

should not work for you

send me your DSDT

Here is, the DSDT.aml (zipped) that was generated by the Auto Patcher.

dsdt.aml.zip

My audio board is AD1988B (according to the ASUS P5K Premium Wi-fi Edition User's Manual).

It works great!!! Thanks!!! What you did with that DSDT.aml file?

Only the frontal head-phone jack doesn't works...

I'm pretty ok with that, but I gotta ask: is there a solution for this too?

Is this related to BIOS configuration?

Because the motherboard BIOS has a item named "High Definition Audio", wich can be turned on or off. And when it's turned ON (my case), there are two options: [AC97] or [HD Audio] (I'm using the last option by default).

What do you think?

Thanks a LOT. Removed mentioned kexts, did not touch them before, because of wrong DSDT. Sleep does not work with your DSDT. Black screen and can't wake.

@MaLd0n

Do you have any idea what I could try to get sleep working?

I have no idea

you need to do some tests

the ideal is to do a fresh install

use a HD to do the tests

do not use ##### etc.

use Extra

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=79503

and Chameleon RC5

Well basically this system is a fresh install directly from retail.

I just installed Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r747 and added FakeSMC.kext (latest version) along with these:

/Extra/Extensions/AppleATIATA.kext

/Extra/Extensions/AppleATIPATA.kext

Not sure if the LegacyAppleAHCIPort.kext would help in any way. Would this replace AppleATIATA.kext and AppleATIPATA.kext? (or on another system AppleVIAATA.kext)

You do not need those kexts

AHCI Enabled

LegacyAHCI

only use this if you need kext

if the information appears correct you do not need

Hey MaLdOn

I used the fakesmc files you listed on the last page and now I cant boot normally or with a boot disk. I'm using the dsdt you made for me a couple of months ago on a DG41RQ intel motherboard. I am running 10.6.6. Any ideas on how to boot now? THanks C

it says something about fintek and f718. What kext's have those? You really are a master, I've gone through some of the 123 pages you've given advice on. I dont do that much work at my job, and I'm good at it. You really do rock

Yes a KP or it just stops. I left for 1/2 an hour and it was still on the f718 thing. I just removed that plug

in from the kext. Yes? No?

I have the new fakesmc intelCPUmonitor and intelthermal, nvclock, superiofamil and x3100. I am taking them out one at a time. as I should have put them in.

Use FakeSMC.kext, IntelCPUMonitor.kext, SuperIOFamily.kext( look the I/O Controller) and kext for video(only one)

Removed NullCPUPower - goes to sleep, but black screen on wake. Can it be because of GraphicsEnabler is used but not NVEnabler? I have Geforce G310 512Mb.

I can't use native AppleCpuPowerManagement because my P6100 CPU doesn't support SSE4. But AFAIK I can't delete it, or I'll get a KP.

Removed VoodooPower also and upgraded Chameleon to r747. Disabled GraphicsEnabler and installed G310 NVEnabler. Same thing - black screen after wake.

But an AMD system doesn't have AHCI. Remember I don't need this for my P5Q but for two AMD machines.

Maybe I don't understand you right but without this kexts I couldn't boot. Would LegacyAHCI fake AMD to be Intel?
