rimmi2002
Hi MaLd0n...this is really a great thread you have running here and I wanted to says thanks for putting so much good information together at one place. I was wondering if you please give any advice on speed stepping with P/C states in Lion 10.7.0 Retail. My SMC monitor is not showing CPU Frequencies. Please see picture below. My hardware profile is in my Sig. I downloaded SMC monitor am using the the FakeSMC and plugins from ##### 3.8. The versions are FakeSMC 3.1.0 Revision 493 and FakeSMC Plugins 3.1.0 Revision 493. (they are all installed in the E/E folder) I also tried moving IntelCPUMonitor.kext to S/L/E ... still no difference. Other plugin kexts that I am using are: ACPIMonitor.kext and SuperIOFamily.kext. My SMC monitor does not show the frequencies of the CPU (i5-2500k) only the temp. the Vcore stays the same ...meaning there is no speed stepping going on. Under P and C states all the states are listed...but I am not too sure what it means to have them listed like that in the picture but no change in Vcore and I have no way to monitor the cores? Is SMC monitor not able to detect frequencies on the Sandybridge processors yet or is this a Lion specific thing? Also do other people have speed stepping working on their sandybridge builds in Lion? If so did you do anything special? I am using Tony's DSDT file along with active P and C states in the boot.plist file and the latest version of Chimera from ##### 3.8. Any help will be great. Screen shot of SMC monitor is below. Thanks!

Kibitz
Hi, I run 10.6.8 on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3p ver 2.0, Intel Quad CPU Q6600, 8 GB RAM DDR2-800, ASUS nVidia Geforce GT9800, TP-Link WLan-N WN951N PCI. I did extract DSDT.dsl with DSDTEditor and could compile it with DSDT.aml with DSDTEditor. And this DSDT.aml does work so far. Than I did load the DSDT.dsl to your Autopatcher and did try to optimize it with your Autopatcher. I get error mesaage "The compilation had errors, please report in the forum." The error is: Line 2844 type Error message Object is not accessible from this scope (ATT3)] I did attach my DSDT.dsl and the DSDT.aml (generated by DSDTEditor in a zip-file. bakerbuds
dsdt.bakerbuds.zip Thanks MaLd0n, quick question: I did not have a patched dsdt when I made the sendme.zip, I used ##### and a couple other kexts, should I keep all the kexts that have been installed? Another note is that right now my cpu is recognized as a 2.4 when it is a 2.53 in actuality, will any of these things have effected the dsdt you made in a negative way? Thanks again! vkd
Thanks for doing the dsdt.aml for me, Mald0n. Much appreciated. I installed it in my /Extra folder, removed all other instances and tested it. Unfortunately although it will go to sleep, this mobo will not return from sleep; it puts that message about the Hibernation file is too old or something. Is it a defect with the mobo mesmo or can I do something in software to make it come back up? Thanks.
